Shanghai EXPO Museum Part.2 Creative Design of Past EXPOs 上海世博会博物馆下篇: 那些世博会上的经典设计

The creative designs of past EXPOs are interesting to review: most of them are still the landmark of the city, they represent the aesthetic and technical frontier. They were the imaginations of future at the time, just like writing SCI-FIs.

现在回顾当年世博会的各种经典设计还是很有意思：代表了当时的前沿审美和最新技术，很多脑洞大开的设计代表着人们对未来的想象，现在看好像还是当年在写科幻小说的感觉。

New York 1939: The Perisphere and trylon

Brussels 1958: the Atomium: a giant model of a unit cell of an iron crystal (each sphere representing an atom)

Seattle 1962: the Space Needle

西雅图 1962： 太空针塔，这个大家应该很熟悉了，在多部美剧以及电影中出现

Montreal 1967: Habitat 67' 栖息地67

I have been to Montreal so I have photos shoot 10 years ago by myself of Habitat 67'. There are still tenants live in the building. The design idea is to let people inside the building to have more sunlight and fresh air compared to regular buildings.

因为我去过蒙特利尔这张照片是我10年之前拍摄的。我也曾经近距离参观过这个略奇葩的大型住宅，至今还是有很多市民住在里面。之所以不走寻常路的设计是为了内部居民能有更好的采光和通风，

Most of the pavilions are removed after EXPO closed, some collections are kept in this exhibition.
