I have read many posts recently regarding delegating SP to bots and earn SBD payouts everyday, and some users introducing buying upvotes to get more attention so that they can build up followers and now they can make hundreds of dollars every week. @minnowbooster is one of those bots that provides a free market that lease/delegate SP, buy and sell upvotes are all available. It looks like positive for the community: lazy users with SP can delegate SP to those bots and earn much higher than curation, so that they dont need to write shit post to maximize rewards, while new users good in writing can get more exposure through buying upvotes and gain more rewards if the posts are good. Under such assumption the overall quality of content should improve and what if one day, the trending pages become a competition of buying upvotes? It might be interesting, since it is been a while the trending pages are full of the whales' show.

Shit posts are trending. Buying votes fails at providing quality content, because good & bad are not being considered. The only thing that matters is whether or not the vote is paid for. If you write bullshit and pay for the votes, it doesn't matter that it's bullshit. You still get the vote.
This is ruining the platform. Stop buying/selling votes.
You have a point in the post depends on whether the vote is paid or not. But it is a change for minnows to promote quality content too, people care their money, they cannot risk the post being flagged so they wont buy upvotes for shit posts.
我觉得买赞更加适合英文写作者，因为在steemit这个平台上，英文写作的用户占据了绝大多数，靠买赞推到首页了，假如别人都看不懂，从众点赞的人都会少。
还有买赞能帮助新人快速提升声望值。
