Are you planning your vacation around Christmas time? Today I am very happy to let you know why Prague around Christmas might be just the best time to visit if you don’t mind the cold weather. Below is the list of countries with the best Christmas markets in Europe with Prague landing on the top spot. Or why not plan your trip so you can see more than one? Due to Prague’s central location, it is very easy to get to some other capitals such as Berlin or Vienna by train or any other by a short plane flight around 1 to 2 hours. Plan fast since the Christmas is just around the corner😊….

Town squares as you show here is something we do not see much of here in Canada. I am sure there is a reason. When I was in Italy a few years back it seemed that ever town had it's square like this. They were beautiful. Lovely places for people to gather, have a coffee of beer and chat. I wish we had these places here where I live.
I am a violinist. Over the years I have seen countless violins made in the Czech Republic. Some fiddles have been poor quality and other are fantastic. Do you have any insight as to why so many violins are produced in your country?

You are absolutely right about the squares. Even all the little towns are going to have a main square where people gather for shopping or to go to bars and restaurants. That being said though a lot of those are kind of getting very quiet in the recent years as a large number of shopping mall are driving people away.
Even though I do not have a full information about the violin production in the Czech Republic I personally believer that it has a lot to do with the traditions and the fact that the Cezch Republic has produce a lot of great musicians and composers in the past.
fantastic shots my friend, the pictures tells the story no doubt it would be amazing atmosphere at Christmas times in prague, in those shots i really like the Christmas trees so beautifully decorated. thanks for sharing

Personally, I would rate Vienna above Prague for the variety - Karlskirche is all handcrafted toys by it self. I was also not very impressed by the Budapest markets. If you visit the Dresden market on the weekend, you might as well be in Prague as there will be more Czechs there than Germans. Super post and I'll visit more markets this year if anyone is interested about others.

Christmas is my favorite holiday because the whole family gathers and spend wonderful moments together. Last year we spent Christmas in Frankfurt
