Philippines meal in Singapore 新加坡的菲律宾餐

我公司以及附近工厂都有不少菲律宾员工，所以我们公司附近的食堂有个摊子是较特别的，卖的是菲律宾餐食。

There are a lot of Philippinos working in my company and companies nearby. As such,there is this Philippines Cuisine stall in the hawker center nearby

 

 

每每午餐时间，许多菲律宾食客都会以行动支持这家菲律宾食摊，常会大排长龙的。

Everyday during the lunch hour, many Phillipinos come and support this stall so you can always see long queue during peak hour.

 

吃腻了新马一带常见的餐食，有时候@auleo 也转换口味吃菲律宾餐。

Sometimes, @auleo likes to take Philippine meal when getting bored to take the common food in Singapore Malaysia.

基本上这个菲律宾摊的形式就是杂菜饭，跟我们平日吃的杂饭摊一样，只是它的菜色是菲律宾菜肴。

Basically this stall selling the food in mixed rice style, same as other mixed rice stall commonly seen in other hawker centre, just the dishes are in Philippines cuisine.

也许是较小众市场，菲律宾摊的杂饭价格较贵，一肉一菜就要新币4元了，问过菲律宾同事，他们也不是因为我不是菲律宾人而算我较贵，自己也做过实验，跟前面的点一模一样的菜，价钱是一样的。

Maybe it's not mass market cuisine, Philippines meal I find it a bit on the high price, 1 meat and 1 vege cost SGD4. I asked my Phillippinos colleague whether is it because I don't speak Tagalog then slightly higher. The answer is no, as I tried ordered exactly the same dish as the person in front. The prices were same.

菲律宾口味偏甜，稠密的汁一般都是甜的，而且喜欢炸物。他们的烧肉不错，跟我们常吃的港式烧腊摊的烧肉有点不同。

Philippines meal tends to be sweet favour. Those gravies normally are of sweet taste and they like fried food. I find their roasted pork quite nice, different from Hongkong style roasted pork we normally take.

有时心血来潮就点一些没看过的，好像有个粉红色猪肉，菲律宾同事告诉过我名字，但不记得了。

Sometimes I'll choose those look special one, like one in pink color gravy (my phillipino colleague told me to name, but can't remember already).

在新加坡，所知的菲律宾餐可在菲律宾人爱聚集的乌节路幸运大厦 Lucky Plaza 以及老巴刹找到之外，好像也没见过其他了。

In Singapore, as far as I can recall, we can find Philippines food in Orchard Lucky Plaza and City center Lao Pasar, other than that I can't recall any.

回想之前去菲律宾旅游，没真正吃到道地美食，只是吃连锁餐厅 Jollibee与 Chow King，因为路边摊的卫生情况真的麻麻，现在偶尔吃一吃菲律宾餐，也算是“再续前缘”吧，呵呵。

Recall my memory when backpacked to Philippines Luzon island, we never really took any local food as street food didn't look appetizing to us. We just took fast food chain Jollibee and Chow King. Now I feel glad to having the chance to take Philippine meal.

希望不久以后，附近也有缅甸餐可以尝尝，毕竟在新加坡的缅甸人也不少，而且自己对缅甸餐食没有什么概念。

Hopefully in near future, there will be Burmese food stall nearby, as there are many Burmese in Singapore as well and I have no idea how Burmese food looks like.

PS:

Continuosly in a week, I found Jollibee outlets in 2 different malls, 1 in Novena 1 in Jurong East. Wao, looks like Philipinos support their national brand very much ya. Hehe
