🔲 WHY CLICK-BAIT IS DESTROYING THE INTERNET!

So I believe it is time for society to simply ask, "what is the deal with all the clickbait lately"

My main issue with click bait is that I feel as if the content creator is attempting to manipulate the public just for his/her own benefit.

I feel the need to refer to Mo-vlogs here as I used to be a rather large fan of his vlogs up until the point to where all of his posts where simply click bait, Things like "Nissan gave me the car" meanwhile it had simply be loaned to him for a week. While his title is not a complete lie, its an attempt to attract attention by making viewers believe they are going to be exposed to much more exciting content that what there really is.

On top of that in recent studies it shows only 60% of viewers make it to the end of an article. If we take the example of The daily express's article on how "Air pollution is now the leading cause of lung cancer" only 60% of viewers managed to reach the end of the article where they stated,

"Although air pollution increases the risk of developing lung cancer by a small amount, other things have a much bigger effect on our risk, particularly smoking"

The title is completely misleading and taking into consideration that 40% of people that viewed this article now may believe the title to be true.

Writers and editors need to take responsibility for what they post, do not mislead your audience it's completely unethical. If your posts aren't interesting enough to get viewed think of a new niche to write about.
