Yesterday morning was a very sunny and bright day I started the day with a lot of enthusiasm. The traffic was not too heavy, I had the chance to take photos at the red traffic light.

This is the Dtac Building which is right by the Chamjuri Square at Samyan underground station. Chamjuri Square is the name of a four levels shopping center with lots of restaurants and a big super market in the basement. Being close to the university, there are always lots of youngsters and students mingle in this center. During lunch time, this place is like an big market with hundred of staff from the Dtac building coming down for their lunch and students rushing to their favourite Japanese restaurants. In the evening, I would try to avoid the road in front of the shopping mall as the traffic is always very heavy, hundreds of cars coming down from the parking area trying to rush home at the same time!

The price of land around this area is very, very expensive. There are several new condo projects coming on to the market during the last two years and I could count at least four more building projects under construction at the moment. Condo units around this two square kilometers are selling like hot cakes even though the units are quite small with the majority having one bedroom and without spacious balcony. The selling point is the proximity of the underground station, several bus connections, a modern shopping mall and a university with several schools around the areas. Many parents bought a small one bedroom unit for their children so that they could just walk to the university and schools without having to be stuck in traffic jam. On the other hand, those who could not afford a second home in the city center will have to get up very early, allowing two hours for driving time, to send their children to schools; schools start at 8 o'clock while university classes start round 9 o' clock. The rush hour in Bangkok can be very frustrating and hair-raising. Many white collar workers and office staff have to rent cheap rooms or apartments closer to their offices so that they could go to work on time.

All the rental and traveling expenses really add up and have become a real burden on salaried workers. More people have accumulated more debts including credit cards' debts while the cost of living is getting higher all the time. It is very unlikely that employers will raise salaries in line with the costs of living and inflation. So, this means that the majority of working people will find themselves in a bind; they would have to cut down their spending and reduce their standard of living while becoming poorer each day. This really give me great anxiety as this is a dead end problem; some people might eventually become homeless as lots of people are renters, not house owners. I am having to cut down my spending much more than I had imagined; the flooding of my garden and land has cost me a lot of investment and I will need to spend more money on necessary repair and replanting of new trees. Psychically, deep down I previously knew that I had to prepare a piece of land for the hard time ahead. I had some kind of intimation of future crisis and emergency, and that I have to be ready to play my destined role; however I hope that things won't come down to that level of calamity. Some of my old friends knew how accurate I had been at least twice in predicting the bloody clashes and riots in Bangkok several years ago, including the financial melt downs several years ago. I did manage to give them early warnings so that they could move out of their houses before the full blown clashes and the blocking of the main roads, including the shutting down of electricity and water supply. I could see such bad time happening again in the near future in my country, I just hope that I am wrong. Please pray for peace and compassion, and divine intervention.

เมื่อวานนี้เป็นวันที่แดดออก และท้องฟ้าสวยในตอนเช้า ทำให้เราเริ่มต้นวันด้วยความสดชื่น และมีพลังในการออกไปเผชิญโลก และโชคดีที่รถไม่ค่อยติด เราไปติดไฟแดงที่สี่แยกสามย่านจึงได้โอกาสถ่ายรูปตึกดีแท็ก ที่อยู่ตรงสี่แยก และติดกับจามจุรีสแควร์ ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ช็อปปิ้งและ กินอาหารกลางวันที่มีคนแน่นมากในตอนพักเที่ยง เพราะคนที่ทำงานเป็นร้อยคนจะลงมาจากตึกดีแท็กเพื่อกินข้าวกัน และนักเรียนก็ออกมาเดินเล่นหาอาหารญี่ป่นกินกัน ตอนเที่ยงที่นั่นกลายเป็นตลาดนัดที่แน่นและเสียงดัง เมื่อวานไปนัดกินข้าวกับเพื่อนที่ทำงานที่นั่น เราเกือบแย่เพราะเสียงดังมาก อาหารก็ไม่ค่อยเป็นไปตาทความคาดหวัง เราคงจะเลี่ยงไปแถวนั้นอีก และตอนเย็นถนนแถวนั้นจะติดมาก เพราะคนเลิกงาน พากันขับรถลงจากที่จอดรถเพื่อกลับบ้านพร้อมๆกัน

เราสังเกตเห็นมีคอนโดเปิดใหม่ในย่านนี้หลายแห่ง และกำลังมีโครงการใหม่ๆอีกอย่างน้อยสามสี่โครงการที่กำลังก่อสร้าง พ่อแม่ที่มีกำลังซื้อจะซื้อคอนโดขนาดหนึ่งห้องนอนให้ลูกที่กำลังเรียนหนังสือ ที่โรงเรียนและมหาวิทยาลัยในใจกลางเมือง เพื่อว่าตนเองจะได้ไม่ต้องเสียเวลามาส่งลูกแต่เช้า และเด็กนักเรียนก็สามารถเดินทางไปโรงเรียนได้เอง แม้แต่คนทำงานที่มีกำลังซื้อไม่พอก็ยังต้องเช่าห้องพักถูกๆ ใกล้ที่ทำงานเพื่อจะได้เดินทางมาเข้างานได้ทันเวลา ทั้งค่าเช่าและค่าเดินทางเป็นภาระทางการเงินที่สูงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แต่เงินเดือนก็ไม่ได้ปรับให้สูงขึ้นให้ทันกับรายจ่ายที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น คนจำนวนมากกำลังตกที่นั่งลำบาก เพราะต้องตัดค่าใช้จ่ายลง และลดมาตราฐานในการดำรงชีวิต ทำให้ยิ่งทำงานก็ยิ่งจนลงไปเรื่อยๆ และกลายเป็นคนมีหนี้สิน และติดหนี้บัตรเครดิตกันมากขึ้น นี่เป็นปัญหาที่แก้ยากมาก และจะทำให้เกิดปัญหาทางสังคม และเศรษฐกิจในอนาคต

เราเองก็ต้องตัดรายจ่ายอย่างมากเพราะ เรื่องนํ้าท่วมที่สวนและที่เพาะปลูก ทำให้ต้องใช้เงินมาบูรณะซ่อมแซมส่วนที่มี่ความจำเป็น และปลูกต้นไม้ทดแทนต้นไม้เกือบสามร้อยต้นที่ได้ตายจากไป เราก็หวังว่าวิกฤตครั้งที่กำลังจะมาถึงคงไม่หนักหนาสาหัส เหมือนครั้งก่อนที่มีคนล้มกันมากมาย และต่างชาติมากว้านซื้อสินทรัพย์ในราคาหนึ่งในสิบของต้นทุน โดยความร่วมมือของคนในชาติที่ทำตัวเป็นไส้ศึก เรารู้ว่าความวุ่นวายกำลังจะมาถึง เราจึงต้องไปหาที่ดินเพื่อทำตามแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ตามคำสอนของในหลวงรัชกาลที่ 9
เราอาจจะมีหน้าที่อะไรบางอย่างในอนาคต แต่ก็ภาวนาให้สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์คุ้มครองประเทศให้แคล้วคลาดด้วย
