In the Heart of the City
This is the view of downtown Detroit as we get off the highway! It is a busy city with lots of car and people walking on the street. It is mostly one way street and parking is a pain! But people do work here and they get used to it.
Many big buildings just like anywhere in the world when you're in the heart of the city. Personally, I don't like coming down here for anything because it is very inconvenient, but my son drove us to a restaurant that he wanted to take me out! So, as long as someone is driving and parking, I am good for the ride.

Cant wait to go back to it! For now...we're just shivering in the snow out here...but in August we will go there!
Cheers,
Adrian
It is snowy here too! August will be a better weather to visit for sure!
you are very lucky, it is a very beautiful city. @cybc
Thank you!
Beautiful cityscape photography
Thank you @roky
Its quite beautiful @icybc :) I really like the lamp details :)
Thank you! I even took a picture of the lamp alone because I like it too :-)
What an awesome son, taking you out for a meal. The buildings are wonderful, and the traffic lights always amaze me - so different to those in the UK. It's always fun to see different parts of the world. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much! He used to work on the cruise-ship so he missed Mother's Day, my birthday, and all the Holidays, so he was trying to make it up, lol..Now, he moved to California for work!
How sweet is he, Icy? I love the city, although I love being out in the middle of nowhere too.
I used to love passing through Detroit and stopping for a few. The architecture is gorgeous, especially where it has been renovated and brought back to its beauty.
The waterfront views were breathtaking. Probably not fun to always be in, but with someone else in the driver's seat, I hope it was more enjoyable!
Happy Tuesday!
Yes, there was one street that I love to drive by, the houses and architecture is really amazing! There is very few public areas for people to enjoy the waterfront view, unless you are going to the concerts in the summer.
Thank you Denise! Happy Tuesday to you to!
I like the waterfront head on, from the boats. I was going to ask you about getting there from the street! Thanks!
Have a great day! Tip!
Usually we have to find one of those side streets with a paid parking lot, to park, and then crossed the big street to the center near Fisher Building , to see the water..I am not familiar with downtown area much, only go when someone is driving :-)
Thank you for the tip, Denise!

I have to admit, I have never wanted a job downtown due to the traffic. However, I do love to go walk around a downtown area. I just make Hubby drive. lol
He is honored @debralee! My son now lives in California, so I don't have a driver anymore :-)
