The CIA decided to join Instagram a couple of months ago, contributing further to their online presence, which includes a Facebook and a Twitter account as well.

The CIA is known for trying to influence both international and domestic public opinion, among other activities, and them solidifying their stance on social media is just one more way that they can try and convince the people that they are a friendly and trustworthy agency.

Nobody knows propaganda like the CIA.

Since they've signed up on Instagram they have decided only to follow 11 people so far and all of them are Hollywood actors, ones who have previously held roles where they played CIA officers or assets.

The CIA has previously violated the trust of the American public on numerous occasions, they have supported torture and lied to the American people.

This is an organization that is not funded voluntarily by the people because if it were, it probably wouldn't still be around as it is today.

This is an organization that has tortured innocent people, they've fueled incredible conflict overseas in an attempt to essentially run American foreign policy, all while seemingly escaping any true responsibility for their actions most of the time.

It's no wonder they might have a slight PR problem.

It's believed that the US government has allegedly worked to directly influence hundreds of movies that have been produced in Hollywood. It's no shock that countless pro-war movies continue to be funneled out when you consider the allegation that Hollywood has worked with government agencies like the CIA and Pentagon etc to allegedly promote these films.

More than 800 films have received support from the Department of Defence.

I wonder how many of those movies might have had a great influence on encouraging any individuals to sign up for a life of perpetuating the agenda of these allegedly corrupted organizations.

The movies that received funding include hits like Iron Man, Transformers, and The Terminator. Likewise, hundreds of programs on television have also received government support too. The CIA alone has allegedly had a part in assisting in dozens of different television shows and films.

If a certain project is interested in using military assets for example, it's alleged that they need to first submit their script to the liaison office for approval. In order to use all of those fun, taxpayer-funded toys, they would need to make sure that the organization is represented in a positive light for the story they are looking to tell.

Believe it or not the agency has even established an entertainment liaison office many years ago and they aren't the only government agency to do so.

What people are being fed when they watch these films, although it might be highly entertaining, is essentially propaganda; Hollywood productions that are meant to portray the actions of these agencies to the public in a positive light.
