Is Cristianity telling us the Truth about the Bible
Before reading I want to say, this is for all people, believers in the bible and non-believers.
I also ask two favors and they are, which ever side you're on please put your emotions to the side and read and ponder with rational thinking. The other favor no matter what, please do not get offended. To offend is not my intent. I intend only to have an open dialog where only the truth is what matters.
There are so many topics I can bring up but today I will focus on only one. And that is does chrisianity teach that we should keep all of the 10 commandments? Now I know most will say yes and in truth I thought the same thing, until I read them.
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Why does christianity keep the 1st day of the week as a sabbath and not the 7th day of the week?
If Sunday is the new sabbath then why does christianity teach it is ok to work on Sunday?
If these commands have been changed then who changed them and when (bible references only are relavent)?
Why is this commandment longer than the other 9?
My hope is that you will consider these questions with an open mind.

The Sabbath was not removed, simply the reason and the day of its commemoration was shifted to the first day of the week. Commemorating the new covenant or atonement of Jesus Christ is now the focus of the day.
Romans 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Evweything in Galatians is correct but the understanding is this: the law cannot save us under the law we continued to fail therefore we needed to continully sacrafice animals for the punishment of sin ( which is breaking Gods law). Jesus became our perfect sacrafice, being he kept all of the laws perfectly, satifying the the sacrafice law once and for all. So through His blood we are forgiven. But that doesn't do away with the law in fact we uphold the law. As one receiving this free gift of forgiveness we ought to seek to follow Christ and walk as He walked which was perfect in Our Fathera laws. Had He not walked perfectly in Gods law He would have not been an acceptable sacrafice. What Jesus did was wash away our sins and bring us back in a relationship with the Almighty through Him.
Romans 7: 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
1 John3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
"Till heaven and earth pass" is the criteria that Christ gave us to know when all will be fullfilled.

Since you wrote the article I would be interesting in knowing your thoughts on the matter.
Yes of course. But first you must know I am no expert, preacher, or anyone you should take spiritual advice from. Basically I see in the bible that "God" gave commands, actually more than 10 but just referencing the 10, and christianty claim them to be still for today but for some reason "they" meaning as a whole not individuals only keep 9 according to the scriptures. Some would say that Jesus died to do away with the laws of "God" because they were to hard for man to keep but I can't find that in the bible what I do see is people using verses out of context imo. The way that I understand it is this: We are not under the 10 Commandments because the 10 Commandments were given to Israel alone. The Sabbath especially was a sign between God and Israel, Exodus 31:12-17.
Gentiles, generally, were never bound to the Sabbath or the Law. Today Gentile Christians are under the New Covenant, that is:
1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
This is from a gentile point of view. It's pretty simple once you see it.

The church celebrates Sunday because Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday.
The Sabbath is part of the old covenant. Christians aren't required to celebrate the Sabbath.
(Romans 14:5 NIV) One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
If people celebrated the Sabbath today they wouldn't be allowed to attend church in most cases.
(Acts 1:12 NIV) Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day's walk from the city.
That distance is about 1200 yards. It's less than one mile.
My question would then be as a christian we keep 9 commandments because one was done away with under the new covenant?

One other thing, why wouldn't people be able to go to church if they kept sabbath today? The way I see the command is do your work (occupation or lively hood) 6 days and don't cause anyone else to do work on this day. Sorry just popped up in my thinking.
