Spiritual Warfare Part 1 - Choosing Your Weapon
Many saints do not "like to fight". Unfortunately as believers we are locked in a war. It is a war that predates us. A war in which we cannot see our adversary. A war were we are both the pawn and the prize.
Warfare Defined
"Spiritual warfare is that conflict being waged in the invisible, spiritual realm that is being manifest in the visible, physical realm". Pastor Jeff Seaman
Armed With Truth
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Cor. 10:3-5
My hope for all Christians is:
• We would develop a thirst for the battle Zec. 5:10-12, 2 Sam 10:12
• We would learn how to fight the good fight 1 Tim 6:12
• We would become skilled spiritual warriors Psalm 18:32-34
Fighting the battle of faith is spiritual but most Christians see and fight it in the flesh. This is the reason why they don't want to fight for they trust in their strength.
I myself before don't want to fight for the eyes of people are fixed upon me. But now I understand that life here on earth is spiritual warfare until Christ will reign.
