Hello everyone, today is another Wednesday for our Bible study. We started with the book of Daniel and we going to study the remaining part of the first chapter of the book. If you will like to read the first part of the first chapter, visit Here

Daniel 1:11-21

18 At the end of the time set by the king to bring them into his service, the chief official presented them to Nebuchadnezzar. 19 The king talked with them, and he found none equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah; so they entered the king’s service. 20 In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.

21 And Daniel remained there until the first year of King Cyrus.

The Favor

Daniel was a king of a person that believe in the power of God and did not want to defile himself and lost the glory of God in his life and so are his other three friends: Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.
God favor them by letting them find favor in the eyes of the guard whom the chief official had appointed over them. The guard agree to test them with the vegetables only for just 10 days as Daniel had requested. Daniel believed in God so much that God made them more handsome than those that are eating the king's food. These made the guard to continue ti feed them with the vegetables.
And to God be the glory, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were the chosen of king Nebuchadnezzar, even in wisdom, knowledge and understanding, he found none like them even among his own magicians.

Lesson to Learn

I will like us to know that in any situation we are, God is there with us if we stick to Him. What you think is the best for you might not be the will of God for your life. If Daniel and his had chosen to eat the king's delicacy, it is possible that they might had loose the glory God intend to give them in the land of Babylon.
Never think what you have now can not sustain you. God know your need and from that small thing God will bring forth big things for you only if you believe in Him.

Big things comes from little things we do.
