"Find REST" - Daily Word #7
One of my other favourite verses comes from Psalm 91:1
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High, will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
What does it mean living in God's shelter?
It reminds me of the mother hen, who will always remain near wherever the little chicks wander. Her wings become their shelter. And they in turn are never too far from her SHADOW.
You see, you and I will often seek the protection from a Huge Tree - whether it is Super Shiny or Heavy Rain.
Father God is the same and will always offer us shelter from the external harshness of life. Are we choosing to LIVE under that covering or living on our own?
And when we don't get under that Godly Shadow, we may have shelter but No REST!
God is always wanting to give us both...
- the Shelter as well as the Rest.
- the Protection as well as the Peace.
- His Guard over our life as well as His Grace.

This is actually timely while I was hurdling through from one challenge to another especially the last 4 weeks.
I have been searching everyday to find rest in His presence, and often times, I got threw out of balance along the way.
God's shelter too, reminds me of the shelter of the mother hand and I often shared that with my fellow friends and cell group alike, and sometimes we just forget that despite our head popped out seeing the storms, we are actually still in the shadow of the wings of the most high.
