What does it mean to repent???

Answer

  • To repent is to be sorry for sin and to hate and forsake it because it is displeasing to God.

II Chronicles 7:14

14. if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

II Corinthians 7:9

9. I now rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly way, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing.
