Tomorrow is Maundy Thursday (പെസഹാ വ്യാഴം)

Hey Guys , so I was going to start studying and I remembered I had to write about GOD , I can't not have time for God . And tomorrow is Maundy Thursday , I am really looking forward to Easter!!

First off , let me tell you guys , one of most remembered memories of Maundy Thursday is that of my grandma making pesaha Appam and pale . I'll show you what I am talking about.

You guys know I am from Kerala in India right . St. Thomas one of the apostles , the one who doubted if Jesus was really Jesus , had actually arrived in Kerala . And he did baptise many while he was there. I feel really honored just thinking about this , a real apostle was actually in my place , wow , maybe that's how we have alot of traditions when it comes to the holy week. But I feel these celebrations are mostly for the Catholics ...etc . My dad's side is RC that's why I know about these things . It is infact really nice to have old traditions like that.

But I also know if you are a born again or a penticost believer in Kerala , you probably won't be celebrating any of these things like other churches. I am a born again too. So I know that part too. I have always actually hated the part that I belong to two different churches but right now , I'm pretty happy considering I got to understand both of these amazing churches and their beliefs and their traditions. So these are all the traditions of my ancestors.

But for me what is Maundy Thursday??!

It is the last day Jesus spent with his 12 disciples . It was the day that Peter said he would never betray Jesus . And it was the last day before Jesus went through all that pain. I can't even imagine the pain Jesus would have felt. You know , while I was small I used to think about Jesus and the pain he must have gone through for our sakes , and just cry. Because it was really real. And also it may sound cheesy or weird , even now I feel really emotional thinking about Good Friday.
All that pain he suffered for me and you dear friends , we must never forget that!!

Just before the Passover feast, Jesus knew that his time had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now loved them to the very end. The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, that he should betray Jesus. Because Jesus knew that the Father had handed all things over to him, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, he got up from the meal, removed his outer clothes, took a towel and tied it around himself. He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel he had wrapped around himself. Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus replied, “You do not understand what I am doing now, but you will understand after these things.” Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus replied, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!” Jesus replied, “The one who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not every one of you.” (For Jesus knew the one who was going to betray him. For this reason he said, “Not every one of you is clean.”) So when Jesus had washed their feet and put his outer clothing back on, he took his place at the table again and said to them, “Do you understand what I have done for you? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and do so correctly, for that is what I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you too ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example – you should do just as I have done for you. I tell you the solemn truth, the slave is not greater than his master, nor is the one who is sent as a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand these things, you will be blessed if you do them. “What I am saying does not refer to all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the scripture, ‘ The one who eats my bread has turned against me .’ I am telling you this now, before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I am he. I tell you the solemn truth, whoever accepts the one I send accepts me, and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.” When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed in spirit, and testified, “I tell you the solemn truth, one of you will betray me.” The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed to know which of them he was talking about. One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, was at the table to the right of Jesus in a place of honor. So Simon Peter gestured to this disciple to ask Jesus who it was he was referring to. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved leaned back against Jesus’ chest and asked him, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus replied, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread after I have dipped it in the dish.” Then he dipped the piece of bread in the dish and gave it to Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son. And after Judas took the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.” (Now none of those present at the table understood why Jesus said this to Judas. Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him to buy whatever they needed for the feast, or to give something to the poor.) Judas took the piece of bread and went out immediately. (Now it was night.) When Judas had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him right away. Children, I am still with you for a little while. You will look for me, and just as I said to the Jewish religious leaders, ‘Where I am going you cannot come,’ now I tell you the same. “I give you a new commandment – to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Everyone will know by this that you are my disciples – if you have love for one another.” Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied, “Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.” Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!” Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? I tell you the solemn truth, the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!

One of my favorite verse from these verses are LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU ,
EVERYONE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES , IF YOU HAVE LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER !!

How precise , yet so much depth , we must indeed love others , not just Christians , other , everyone , we should never divide others based on any criteria , Jesus didn't say just to love Christians , he said everyone , don't forget that . I have seen people who are really good to people from the same church but a mean person to others , please guys don't be like that.

You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am. I have more than one favorite verses from here , my first would be.
I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you have known me, you will know my Father too.Guys let me tell you some truths , I have always been a Christian , but my knowledge about Christ was very less , you know when you are born into something , you have to believe it without actually digging deep , but when situations became really bad , when things were no longer in my control , all I could do was pray to God , believe in God , believe in Jesus , because not everything is in our control , but it's in God's control . And with him " NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE"!!
I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you. Many times , when I was feeling depressed or lonely . Or when I was crying because of situations from home , nobody saw my tears , nobody saw my pain , no one was there to give me some courage but my Lord Jesus Christ! He never left me even when I was gonna go in the wrong direction , he believed in me , he trusted me , and at last he brought me back , if it wasn't for him , I would have gone into a totally different direction. But I'm so thankful to Jesus for all the things that has happened in my life both good and bad , because without god in my life , I would have ended my life long ago , I used to feel life was pointless . But it is my God and my family , the reason I'm still alive . I realised that those are the thoughts of the devil , to go into the wrong path , God's direction is being alive and spreading the word of God Amen!

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
You know , if you really know me , you would know , I am the kind of person who doesn't ask for anything , I am the kind of person who doesn't like to disturb others , I'm the kind of person who hates being alone ,but because I would disrupt others life I just do everything on my own . But , I ask one person for something and that one person is JESUS , no I don't ask for materialistic things , I am a person with a very messed up life , I know many people have a messed up life , so I would never compare my problems with anyone else. So , I actually do ask God for a miracle in my life and the life of anyone who is going through hard stuff because I strongly believe that anything asked to Jesus , he will give us. He will change our situations , he will bring healing ,. He will bring salvation. He will bring wisdom. Everything , we just need to believe.

You are clean already because of the word that I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Reading these verses made me realize one more thing , it is indeed true , ***Not everyone is going to like you , you know I have told you guys before I was a pleaser , I wanted everyone to like me , but I no longer am like that , now I have a lot of enemies , I don't even know why, that's the scenario , I don't cause anyone harm but people find a reason to hate me , someone of my friends wanted to betray me because I was too nice , imagine , I don't know , that's why now I don't give importance to please others , I just try to be polite , I try my best to not offer d anyone , I do love everyone , even the people who has hurt me . But reading this verse above gave me alot of clarity . I'll tell you a story about how me being a good person created an enemy for me in next post maybe , since I don't want to post that on this important post. So if I was doing everything everybody see was doing they would all love me , but I am Different so they don't like me , and I'm okay with that. 😊
