How are you? Looks like this is a fun idea to have a chess tournament for Steemians. One of my cousins, she took a chess class lesson, she's part of the elite chess team way back her high-school days and she competed for local tournaments too. I wish I took chess game seriously, I was always impatient waiting for my other opponent to take turn lol
You mentioned 3 and a half hours to prepare just to set the pieces or is it for the whole game?
If I ever play chess again I will remember to always try to play in the center, manybe that's why I never won haha!
I hope everything is well with you. Sorry if I haven't been able to visit your page more often, I tried to crawl to get here coz I still a lot of comments to read on my blog. I put a note on my screen to visit my good old friends. haha! I miss how we used to exchange msgs all the time and just fun conversation.

I am fine and under heavy development with the new airplane, SSJ-100. I am far away from posting every day now :)
We are playing this tournament now for 18 weeks :) The number of players is increasing a lot in the last 3 rounds, and it is really a lot of fun for all.
We had no time at all to prepare for the setting of pieces in our games, as in Chess960 it is not the normal setting, visible in the 3 pictures.
There is a in-official match going on between Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura in Henie-Onstad Art Center, Høvikodden. They have some time to prepare there games.
Yeah, the center is the main area to bring your pieces out, there they have more value.
Your posts got so much comments so I decided to just look to them, I read them all!
