Well done! (I admit these chess problems are not so easy, but I hope you enjoyed it!)

Rg7+ Kxh5. Now white has an amazing quiet move: 2. Kh3!, and black has no useful defense anymore against 3. g4.
In alternative notation: 1. b7-g7+ g5xh5 2. g3-h3. Now white threatens to play 3. g2-g4 with checkmate. Black can only delay the checkmate by useless moves like 2. ... b3xf3+.
I hope this explanation is good enough? If not, just ask again. :)
i missed the white pawn at h5 ;)
how bout B7 to B6..all sides covered. f6 can only go to f5 or i can be patient and let b4 be a queen
Actually it is true that 1. Rb6 should be enough to win in the long run.
However there is another (better) way to win really fast ... :)
how many moves??
If black delays the checkmate as long as possible, white needs 7 moves to win.
Sorry i couldn't do it nor my niece :)
we tried!
