Day 3: Offering some love to the needy patients in the hospital.

Today i went to the market and bought quite a number of items such as pineapples, passion fruits, bananas. This time around i bought fruits because i had the mission to go to the Hospital and reach out to patients who were in need of some help.

When i arrived at the Hospital. I first went to the administration to seek for permission to go inside and reach out to the patients who were stranded and in need of something to deposit in their bellies. She asked me quite a number of questions of who i was, where i had come from and how i was intending to do the exercise i was to do in this hospital.

The administrator was very welcoming where after discovering that my intentions were right ones; She gave me permission to proceed with this great act of love and care towards those were suffering in the hospital. She then assigned me to the hospital's social Worker who i walked with through the different wards or sections of the hospital where i met different patients.

This lady had knowledge about the different patients and led me to those who were stranded and in need of something to eat. I journeyed with her through the different wards of the hospital. As we proceeded she was even educating me about the different hospital sections and the different conditions of the patients that were available and the different doctors and nurses who were in charge of treating and taking care of these patients.

The doctors were very excited to have learned that i had come to the hospital to simply offer some tangible care to their patients.

Patients in their unhealthy condition mostly need fruits. I distributed the fruits to whoever had nothing to take at that moment. The condition in the hospital is really a very humbling one. When you are out of the hospital and you are in good health you can't really know what goes on in the hospital and how people are suffering every other day. Having great pain and some even lacking money to pay up hospital bills.

The patients i was led to were very stranded with a report saying that these were abandoned by their relatives after having brought them to the hospital.

They were quite a number of patients i visited and offered some help to though not all of them are included in the above photos, some didn't fancy the idea of taking a selfies with them.

Upon finalizing the mission of distributing some fruits to the needy patients. I issued some money to this lady who is their care taker to buy them some more things that these patients were still in need of just because what i had carried on me was not enough. There was some missing component called sugar to help these in making juice and also some morning tea throughout their time of stay in the hospital.
