Helping Humanity part 3
Alhumdulillah we have completed our mission. What started as a group discussion among friends 10 days ago has become reality. We have personally helped people suffering from drought in Mithi and hopefully given them a reason to struggle and shown that others care about people suffering.
We reached Mithi in the morninh with medicine and clothes. Straight away we went into the local market and made packages for a small village consisting of 50 families near the dessert. Each package contained 10kg rice, 2 kg sugar, 2 kg oil and 12 litre of clean drinking water. It took 2 hours to prepare the goods so we prayed in the mean time and started roaming the city. What struck us was the lack of communication around they spoke the local language and only few knew the national language Urdu. Well we had a great time observing a different culture who wouldn't
Clicked this while outside the local shop. The packages were ready and we hired a small rikshaw to lead us towards the near by village. All of us were anxious what will be the reaction of the people there our minds were filled with all sorts of thoughts. We didn't even realize and were there, the small village homes could be seen from the car. The village people were called and then the best part of the trip came.
By the Grace of All Mighty Allah, we had succeeded in our journey. The look of happiness on the people's faces was the most satifying feeling ever. A group of four students had travelled 400km and successfully distributed goods in Tharparkar. This was a trip of a lifetime. We were satisfied and sad, these goods would last a couple of week and what about them after that. We have now decided to start a campaign to make our people aware of the situation of these poor people. We have even written applications to the Government to aid these people on a larger scale.
In the end I would just ask a favour to help anyone you see who is struggling on his own. The smile that you will see is bettrr than anything in the world that I can guarantee.
