Walk of Hope update : Creating Livelihood in Bayawan City, Philippines
Reminiscent of Walk of Hope's event last April in Bayawan when we started this Creating Livelihood Advocacy,
@flabbergast-art and his team of creatives in Bayawan decided to hold another event prior to him leaving for Kabankalan City this month. As it is ongoing, this event will take a week as the kids are on their school break.
Starting last 19th of this month, Creating Livelihood is very much ON at Dagsa's Place.

Musical bamboo instruments
As bamboo didgeridoos and flutes are what mostly are in demand, these are what's being made, including bamboo lamps.
We have a buyer for these in Dumaguete City, where our bamboo products mostly go from Bayawan.
This event will culminate on Saturday prior to the 28th when @flabbergast-art and his team will leave Bayawan for our Creating Livelihood for our scholars in Kabankalan. There is a plan for @flabbergast-art to stay temporarily with our indigenous folks in Kabankalan after the said event.
Next event in Kabankalan City
From our @fundition's proposal last August, this event is to help 30 of the total 60 scholars who are in danger of losing their scholarships due to financial restraints. This livelihood will utilise what Kabankalan is rich of, yes BAMBOO, this will give a bit of income for these students.
A solution to help our indigenous families further was for @flabbergast-art to stay with them to teach the parents as well as the other students for extra income. There is a market for these products, we only need manpower to help with the supply and the demand. The duration of his stay will also depends on the CREATIVE BAMBOO HUB building, a collaboration between Bamboo Nation, Kabankalan Creatives and @walkofhope.
The liquid payout of this post will go to @walkofhope's account for the Kabankalan event. It is, isn't it? I know a bit of their route but if it will be followed remains to be seen. We have done a lot yet the initial city to start with, we have not fully done something there. Although Kabankalan is near it. @flabbergast-art paintings are in Bacolod city museum. They will be a part of the Tour.
