@crypto.charity's Overview of How Funds From Previous Distribution Were Spent

in #charity6 years ago (edited)

Hey guys! A few days ago @crypto.charity sent their first round of funding to a few selected Steemians. This article will give sponsors, distributors and the general public an overview of how the funds were used!

Introduction

About a week ago, @crypto.charity distributed a total of 31.2 Steem and 18.4 SBD to 4 distributors, split evenly. Since then every distributor has made a post about where the money has gone! This article will be a summary of each distributor's efforts.

@drmaizo: "Feeding Smiles"

@drmaizo used his portion of funding to help children in the city of Maracay. These children were all suffering from some degree of malnutrition and welcomed the surprise of food as it was also Children's Day that day in Venezuela! In @drmaizo's post there is proof of purchase and receipts at the bottom of his article proving all contributions by @crypto.charity went towards helping those children in need! Feel free to read @drmaizo's article for more information by clicking the "feeding smiles" at the start of this section or by clicking here!

@oneopportunity (by @carlagonz): "Project One Opportunity"

@carlagonz, the founder of the project @oneopportunity has used the funding (along with funding from others) to help an educational institution (school) who simply doesn't have the resources to keep up with the growing amount of students. She has helped them with food, materials knowledge and infrastructure! For more information, click here to read her post!

@joseph1956: "The Humanitarian Project"

@joseph1956 has spent the funds buying food which has been split into 9 separate bags and given to 9 different families that are in critical need of help in the city of Maracaibo, in collaboration with Belen El Soler Christian Community Church. Click here to find out more (in Spanish)!

@reinaldoverdu: "Donation of Food to Venezuelans in Need

@reinaldoverdu has been a friend of mine for a while, and the person who actually inspired me to start @crypto.charity. The funds he received were partly for personal use and partly to support a nearby neighbour of his that lived in very poor conditions. Click here for more information!
