Three Things That Must Be Done Immediately To Make Steemit.com a better Experience: May 30 Days Writing Challenge- Day 7
Today's topic borders on the different challenges that exposes the deficiencies found within the steem blockchain and what could be done to curb or resolve these challenges for the ultimate benefit of having a better user experience.

There are perhaps many more things that needs to be done to improve steemit, as different people will have different opinions on what to be done. But here's mine, and I remain unapologetic if you think I'm being too personal about it.
1. Instant Signup Process
There are many people who are not here just because they were not patient enough to wait for their password after registration. The period it takes for one's account to be approved and activated is way too long.
I know some improvement has been made towards reducing the waiting time, but I wish the account creation process could be an instant one. The instant creation of account (asides using steeminvite) will increase the number of new users on daily basis, this will ultimately lead to increased activity and traffic on the site.
2. Removal of Bidbots or Due Penalty For Its Abusive Usage
The negative impact of bidbots on the community, by far outweighs the possible positive benefits of it.
I don't know who came about with the idea of bidbots and exactly what the purpose was meant to be, but from what I've noticed mostly, it has been grossly abused, by the bidbot owners, operators and patronized users.
Some of the negative impacts from the abusive use of bidbots on the community include;
- massive daily rape of the reward pool
- increased level of oppression and corruption
- inappropriate or inadequate rewards on deserving quality contents
- unnecessary domination of the trending page by a particular set of persons
- breaking of laws by the law makers
Bidbots and the use of bidbots should be abolished or some disciplinary measures be put in place to checkmate its abuse.
Avoidance of All Possible Future Hacks
Some of us are yet to recover from the shock and fear that developed from the "Utopian hack incident". All servers and apps on the blockchain should be monitored and guarded religiously.
One of the reasons why people adopt blockchain technology is that they believe that it is not vulnerable to hackings and manipulation. As such, security and trust should be made priority always. All hands must be on deck to ensure that there'll be no form of security breach or atleast it would minimized.
And when this is assured, people will continue to enjoy the beauty of decentralized technology.
Thank you for your time.

I'm very much in support of the anti-bidbots improvement. I know this can't be done straight as Steemit is a decentralized platform and rules cannot be made. But this is a critical situation which must be dealt with for the progress and fairness of the platform. Else the 'haves' who can pay for this services will rape the reward and makes it bad for the 'have-not'.
Absolutely, well said @lordjames
I hope sth will be done about this in the next HF 20
