May 30 Days Writing Challenge - What’s Your Most Consistent Hobby For The Last 5 Years?

Today's theme is to write about the most consistent hobby I've had in the last 5 years.
Lately I've given up some hobbies. For example, if this topic of the post arose 3 years ago I could not really choose between poker, travel and cars. I play poker very little now and I pushed cars as a priority on the end of the list. I collect different things, like books, coins and stamps.
My hobby that accompanied me from early on is travel. I love travelling. In the past 5 years, my income has increased and so I have more opportunities to travel.
With my better half we try to travel as often as possible. It does not matter if we're on a voyage of discovery through our city or drive by car for thousands of miles. Yes, we also travel a lot through our city. We start in the morning and we lose ourselves in the streets where we have never been before. There is always something new to discover. I like that on the longer trips we get to know different cultures. I love that.
I'm not focused on a goal. Some only like mountains, others only the sea, some only the forest and some only cities. I like everything.
Since I travel, my worldview has changed massively. Every time I learn something new. The cosmopolitanism comes just by traveling. The world is like a book, the more you read, the more you learn.

Das heutige Thema handelt sich um das größte Hobby das ich in den letzten 5 Jahre hatte.
In letzter Zeit habe ich ein paar Hobbies aufgegeben. Zum Beispiel währe dieses Thema vor 3 Jahren aufgekommen konnte ich nicht richtig auswählen zwischen Poker, Reisen und Autos. Poker spiele ich sehr wenig und Autos habe ich als Priorität nach hinten geschoben. Ich sammle verschiedene Sachen, wie Bücher, Münzen und Briefmarken.
Mein Hobby das mich von früh begleitet hat ist Reisen. Ich liebe Reisen. In den letzten 5 Jahren ist mein Einkommen gestiegen und somit habe ich mehr Möglichkeiten um zu reisen.
Mit meiner besseren Hälfte versuchen wir so oft zu reisen wie es geht. Es ist egal ob wir auf einer Entdeckungsreise durch unsere Stadt gehen oder mit dem Auto für tausende von Kilometer fahren. Ja, wir reisen auch durch unsere Stadt sehr viel. Wir starten morgens und wir verlieren uns durch die Straßen wo wir nie waren. Es gibt immer etwas neues zu entdecken. Ich mag das auf der längeren Reisen wir verschieden Kulturen kennen lernen. Ich liebe das.
Ich bin nicht auf einem Ziel fokussiert. Einige mögen nur Berge, andere nur das Meer, einige nur das Wald und einige nur Städte. Ich mag alles.
Seitdem ich reise, mein Weltanschauungsbild hat sich massiv geändert. Jedes mal lerne ich etwas neues. Die Weltoffenheit kommt halt nur durch reisen. Die Welt ist wie ein Buch, desto mehr man liest desto mehr erfährt man.

I participated in your contest a few days ago and told you how much I like to travel, but I think it's a popular hobby, I don't think I can get people who don't like to travel, so my other options would be cinema! Die Welt ist wie ein Buch, desto mehr man liest desto mehr erfährt man.
Das gute daran ist ja, dass man noch den Bonus hat, dies auch wirklich zu erleben und nicht wie das reine lesen nur ein Theoretiker bleibt, der vom wirklichen Tun keine Ahnung hat.

hey @smade that's awesome! you are a sailing instructor? i just started sailing in 2016 and I'm in love with it! So far i have 8 regattas behind me... and i hope to have my own boat in a couple of years. Do you sail to race or cruising and travel?
