Challenge done - Conclussion and Next Steps - DAY 31 of 30 day writing challenge

in #challenge30days7 years ago

Today is the last day where I will post under the challenge tag as first one. It is my 31th challenge day from the 30 challenge day. Yes, one day more. I do this because I’m a strong believer in over delivering, always give more then asked. Nobody asked me in here anything, but I want to give one more day to the challenge and leave the tag one more day running on my account.

Here is the conclusion of the challenge. It was hard to post every day, sometimes I wanted to quit. I didn’t as my motivation and grit is strong. I hate, yes hate is the best word for it, and I hate losing and quitting. Sometimes is it also hard to call it quit when I see that it is pointless. So the challenge was used as a motivation to keep on going. Also I was motivated to put some good content, even if I know that my writing is not on a top level. Just to keep on practicing till you master it. That was another motivating factor.

I would suggest anyone to do such a challenge because it changes the way you see steemit. Of course if you do it for real.

What are the lessons learned from the challenge:

  • a good post needs effort
  • be original
  • practice makes the master
  • if you commit to something, stick to it, even if it is hard
  • deliver more than expected, it will help you for the long run
  • appreciate the work of others, they put at least the amount of work you did
  • if you see someone doing wrong on steemit, try to help him, even if it takes patience. If it is full blunt ignorant and does not want to improve, use steemcleaners, they help ;)
  • don’t ever complain about low payouts, try to fine tune and improve from post to post

Next steps after the challenge:

  • continue posting regularly, if not daily at least every second day. The content must be good/original
  • bring at least 10 meaningful comments to the ones I follow a day
  • bring at least 10 meaningful comments to the ones who follow me
  • continue of helping minnows in distress
  • weekly analyse of followers and following list
  • as I have no niche for this account I will post randomly
  • get in one year maximum to 10k SP
  • post more in German and Romanian, local communities need to grow
  • open two side anonymous accounts for the steemit projects. One is a social project and one will be for a community.
  • get involved in steem.city

So a lot learned and a lot planned. Will track it consistently and I want to see after one year where I land.

Thank you @dragosroua for the challenge and helping us, the participants doing and sticking to it. One of the best minnow development programs in here.

Keep on steemin!

Thank you @teuterigos. Consistency is the key everywhere. I will stick to my plan and will fine tune it, according to the results

Congrats my friend! To be consistent is everything around here. Was nice to meet you yesterday. Have a great weekend. Liz

Danke Liz! Same from my side. Next time we shall speak more as this time. You to have a great weekend! Now that I see you do some posting in 3 languages, I need to continue also with some of mine in 3 :). Good for motivation!
Alex

Yeah, do that :) Looking forward to your posts. I don´t know yet if I can be there next time but let´s keep the contact! Cheers

Hallo Alex! Ich habe mir deinen Blog etwas angesehen und in kurzer Zeit viele neue Dinge gelernt. Viel Erfolg und Motivation für die Zukunft!

Danke! Ich habe nur kurz dein Blog überflogen und gesehen habe das ich da mehr Zeit verbringen muss. Es sind sehr tiefgehenden Themen wo man sich mehr Zeit nehmen soll und in Ruhe lesen. Insbesondere die Sibirische Reise, was sehr spannend klingt.

Thanks for sharing as someone who is doing much more commenting than posting right now it's good to come across these posts on how to make the posts I do right better. I myself try to comment on my followers post and people's post that are following me on a daily exercise and think this is very important return on investment to help grow your followers.

Posting is real valuable. Commenting is much more easier, but not so rewarding. It is good to comment to get some traction, but the posts make the difference, good and original posts.

For sure and I think you are correct about how posts are much more rewarding. Didn't realize it until you just mentioned it though so thanks!

Just check steem.supply to see where you are at with your account.

Kip up the good work alex

Hey @yunusishola, thanks for dropping by. I see you are new in here, less then a month. One of the things that I like to do is to help people. If you need some help, feel free to ask. I see a lot of people from Nigeria, which is good, as the prediction to reach almost a billion people in the next 20 years is fascinating. Huge potential, but also huge responsabilities and dangers.

So as a piece of advice:
-when you post a comment, put a little more effort into it. Make it longer and try to add value to it. Value adding is the core of steemit
-feel free to ask for advice if you get stuck, it happens to everybody
-you will not earn that much in the beginning, just keep on posting good content and quality comments, it will payout in the future
-reach out for minnows with potential like you, you can grow together
-never lose hope

So, keep on steeming

congratulations! Producing origianl content is quite an effort. Just got to know your account and looking forward to see what posts you made the last 30 days.

Thank you! It is crucial to stick to the routine!
