What Have I Learnt Last Week? | [Learn & Earn] Initiative - Week 17
Here is my entry for the initiative LEARN & EARN, hosted by @matkodurko
So, here are some of the things I've learnt over the last week:
Monday | Researchers from the Washington State University have captured a bacteria that eats and breathes electricity. Also funny to see is that, at a time when many Americans are falling for the Anti-Emigration Propaganda pushed from the Extreme Right Zionist leaders of America, the researchers involved in this project are named Abdelrhman Mohamed, Phuc Ha, Haluk Beyenal and Paul Hohenschuh. Need I say anything more? | Image Source |
Tuesday | Another one dedicated to the Right Wing party who believes privatising the basic needs of a country is a smart move. EDP, which used to be the National Electricity Company of Portugal has been privatised and sold to the Chinese. Now, they reported to have losses - for the first time in 22 years. | Image Source |
Wednesday | One can't have two without three... so here's another one for the Right Wingers out there: Two arrests have been made regarding the brutal political assassination of Marielle Franco, in Brasil. Is it a surprise to anyone that the two people arrested are ex-military with ties to Jair Bolsonaro? You know who he is, right? The President of Brasil who loves Donald Trump and Ben Netanyahu? Like I say, criminals tend to stick together. | Image Source |
Thursday | The Health Minister of Italy, Giulia Grillo stated that non-vaccinated children up to 6 years old will be barred from kindergarten and schools. - You don't believe in the science behind vaccinations? Fine, then you won't mind this at all and you will be able to teach your kids whatever you want, by yourself. | Image Source |
Friday | After two kids died this year, Japan is getting ready to outlaw physical punishments by fathers to their kids. | Image Source |
Saturday | Due to the rise in Tourism and the increase in people's use of platforms such as AirBNB, the landlords in Porto (Portugal) are trying to evict their current tenants. To speed up the process, some of the landlords are bullying and terrorising their tenants... who are now paying to private security firms to protect them from their own landlords!!! | Image Source |

Well then a big huge thanks to @matkodurko for lighting this fire under you @trincowski.
Great write-up. 👍🏿 It’s my pleasure to help this one out.
Thanks. I was undecided about this one, since it's a bit more political than what I usually do here. I was thinking: "Should I post it? Should I delete it?"
Oh, well, I hope I don't annoy too many people. I'm in no mood for political fights.
I do that every time @trincowski. Any time I use a comedy tag especially, those are the hardest for me. I haven’t deleted one yet! I’m glad you stuck to the post button, too. 👍🏿
Political? Sure. But they’re headlines and you’re just relaying them. I dig the challenge—thanks for the info.
Wow! the bacteria that eats electricity? never heard of that.... About time beating up your children should be forbidden. Everywhere.
What you are saying about the tourism and AirBnB. I have heard something similar in other European countries. ...
"About time beating up your children should be forbidden."
Sometimes a good slap is more effective than a thousand shouts. 😛
I like this, going over your weeks learnings, very inspirational and a good idea for us all @trincowski
Feel free to join @matkodurko's initiative, @donnadavisart! I'm pretty sure he will be happy about that! The more participants, the better!
Wooow...that situation in Porto is absolutely crazy...btw I've heard similar thing is happening here in Innsbruck..but terrorizingwould be too strong word...btw I haven't even read the Monday-thursday politics :D totally hate it :D
Btw, where's our new tag? :P I knew people won't read the post so I've added the most basic info even the title picture :D
Oops. I'll change that.
Done... By the way, that situation in Porto is Politics, too. 😉
haha thx :) It's not egotrip or something, I just hope if the tag starts live nicely, it might help to get some sponsors to increase the bounty :)
