Warning - ferocious steemcat ahead
I see I've missed "Caturday" by 2 days but, in the spirit of my cat's personality (and most cats for that matter), we don't care 😉
Her soft, woolly-coated fur is a beautiful blueish-grey and water-repellent. No really, it is.
She has pumpkin-colored eyes and a thick coat of permanent black eye-liner used to enhance her feline features.
She appreciates any attention she receives, especially if it involves scratching her beneath the chin or brushing her endlessly.
She also likes to lay her entire body on your newspaper while you read and your keyboard while yoxkjc s sshf fjhw7jh sa shuiw wcJjsks.
She is particularly fond of tomato sauce, soup (without the chunks), olives, and bacon-flavored chips (only the square-shaped ones) and has a sweet tooth for chocolate ice-cream. She hates pâté, ham, chicken and fish...
After having her kittens, at the tender age of 20 months old, her main focus has been to get fat. So she spends most of her days sleeping and sun tanning.
In the cold Winter days, she finds solace in laying near the fireplace, for 10 hours straight.
Ok maybe she doesn't like it so much, but we sure do 😜
Chartreux cats are often fondly described as "potatoes on toothpicks", with its robust body, broad shoulders, deep chest, and short legs (see photos below).
This one is highly affectionate and will often follow us from one room to another.
In the morning, she likes to snuggle up to us in bed, pretending to be all sweet and cute. Don't be fooled, her tactic is to lay on top of you so that you can't breathe and eventually are forced to get up to feed her.

Mine also likes to lie or walk on the keyboard when I'm trying to work. She'll do the lying on your face in the morning thing. Maybe that's "feed me" in cat language. Lol. Cats can be quite interesting.

That' s a precious cat and a precious story. I don't understand how some can say cats have no personality or are too independent, as a cat owner I beg to differ. They sure brighten your day everyday with their quirks :)
I think that's the difference between "dog people" and "cat people". I've had cats almost all my life and can remember each personality being very different from one another. Independent yes, if compared to dogs... but that's what makes them brilliant!

WOA! Can a Chartreux have green eyes? Because I swear that's the exact kind of cat I ran into this afternoon in town... we had a little moment together while he was luxuriating in the sun...

I think you've met the Chartreux's close cousin: a British Shorthair. Chartreux always have orange eyes (if I'm not mistaken), but she looks a lot like her! Nice and chubby 😍
Well I am in the UK at the moment, so a British shorthair is definitely likely! I can tell from you photos, your Boudinette has a ton of personality what a card! <3

Yes, i think the only difference is that Chartreux cats are usually larger and have a broader face and shoulders. I love British Shorthairs as well :)
I do love the big face. I think famous internet cat Maru is a Chartreux, I can just watch it jump into boxes for ages upon age.
Haha! Been a fan of Maru since day 1. He's a Scottish Fold though, with probably just as much personality. I just don't have enough time in the day to film mine.

What a cutie... 😍 I used to have a cat that love to lay on my body in the morning, but when it's warm enough she will move and don't want to be touched!
Hahaha! This one can never get enough heat.. she lays so close to the fireplace in Winter sometimes I wonder how she doesn't catch on fire!
