Caturday on Sunday
Yesterday at work I got a visitor. I don't know where she comes from but she was terribly thin and also very tame. I went around the corner to the cat shelter lady to ask for food and I spent the afternoon feeding her.
She seemed as though she might have had kittens although they were no longer being fed as her nipples were small but she seemed to have milk. After she had been fed, she didn't want to leave so I kept her until it was time to close.
At least the cat shelter lady was prepared to fetch her in the morning so I decided to lock her in the shop with a sandbox instead of turning her out onto the street. This morning she was fetched and will be kept and fed until her owners can be found, or we find her a new home.
I keep wishing people would sterilise their pets. It's possible that she was turned out of her home because she had kittens

My mama cat I call Mommy was very thin with her 4 kittens. I finally took them all on my closed porch so she could nurse them in safety... and get plenty of food.

have you been to any of his gigs? he played in Moscow when I lived there! but I was too young then, I was looking quite in the different directions.
my fave LPs that I listened a lot, are: Kicking Against the Pricks / Tender Prey / The Good Son / Henry's Dream / Let Love In. I consider it, in some way to be the peak of his creativity. (well, one cant go higher and higher and higher all of the time, right? especially for the artist, conception of 'higher' is silly, artist should explore different fields / directions, develop their language, not just 'go higher'. :P )
after the peak you often do the same things, even on more skillful level.. you recreate successfull recipes that worked for you well, etc. its quite a common case, when I love the 1st albums which contain something (novelty? originality? energy? passion? idk) something that I dont find in the later creations.
'15ft of Pure White Snow' from 'No More Shall We Part' CD that i've bought probably was the last song that I enjoyed very much and even sang it a lot. I tried to gave this LP a lot of chances in terms of relistening, but eventually just gave up and turned to other artists. (Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Radiohead came in and took over the place in my mind :P )
ps. and, sometimes we love things not for their greatness etc, but for the reason they got an imprint on us, we love our own memories from the past associated / reflected / gathered in them)

I always liked Tom waits. I see Nick as mellowing with age musically. But Blixa Bargeld is also gone.
Nick's lyrics have changed from his more "writerly" themes to more personal. I don't mind that.

Poor cat! She looks very thin! I hope someone will adopt her, she has very nice colours which,according to the Chinese, would consider this cat will bring good luck and money!
I tried to ask for a kitten of this colour from a family last year, they refused to give me one of their kittens and told me how these would get stolen if they weren’t watchful!
Yes calico cats are considered lucky by the Japanese as well. But she is so thin you can feel all the bones in her tail

poor animals, you done a good job. born stray cats are bold enough to survive, but these type of pets thrown away from home will mostly starve and die.
