My Entry for the Cat in Hat Contest- "Black Cat in Hat" (w/ PROCESS)
Hello once again steemians!
This is my entry for the "Cat in hat contest by @agneslaczo. I was very intrigued when I knew about this contest. I knew it about this contest last night and I think it was around 1 a.m. I had a lot of ideas in my mind that I can't wait to draw and paint. I thank @agneslaczo and her husband for having such contest because I was able to widen my imagination and I learnt new techniques. I really had fun doing this so thank you once again.
So, here's the process of my entry. Enjoy!
MEDIUM: ACRYLIC PAINT
PROCESS 1
I sketch first the idea that I had in mind. I want my entry to be eye catching so I chose the concept and the colors of it thoroughly.
PROCESS 2
I started painting the lake or pond whatsoever (depends on your imagination 😂). I first colored it with a blue water color but changed my mind afterwards and used acrylic.
(I used a tissue paper to have a fading effect of the color) 😂
PROCESS 3
I painted the base first with this color then add the details after.
I then add shadow to have it look good. Heheh
PROCESS 4
I used dark gray color and a lighter gray here.
PROCESS 5
PROCESS 6
PAINT THE HAT

PROCEES 7 ( THE LAST PROCESS)
Here, I painted the fishing pole and added details using a fountain pen( this is only a cheap pen, so dont worry 😂). Since, I still am not satisfied with lake, I added details to it too.

Nice art @christney, I hope I could paint like you, I'm really bad when it comes to color, that's why I'm more on focus on charcoal painting.. ^^ Hope you could visit my page @lmfao3124 so that you could give feedback so that I could improve more.. thanks.. ^^
You can learn colors through time just keep on practicing. I, myself, isn't good with charcoal but I'm still on the process of learning it too. Hope you could give some tips about using charcoal.
