Categories on the Trending page

Yes it is cool to see the top Trending posts right when you get on Steemit...

And I'm sure that there is a marketing strategy to having the highest payouts as the first thing newcomers see, but what if we had Categories instead of just tags and the top random posts.

Maybe each category could be laid out like Youtube or Netflix..

Where you can scroll through and see all of the top tags in order from most popular, and also be able to scan through each one and see the top posts in each category.

These are just a few ideas, and I'm sure something like thi can be implimented in far more extensive and useful ways, but I just wanted to share with the community and see what everyone else thinks!

Not a fan of the Netflix idea, I am running out of resources as it is. lol

But we do need a better way to navigate this site, the idea that content is only worth looking at for 24hrs is a real shame. Imagine if they threw the Mona Lisa away after 24hrs or 30 days.
