Until today, we didn't know many details about this electric supercar, but the video you have on these lines will make the intentions of the Aspark Owl very clear: break the neck! Its goal is to become the fastest car on the market, capable of accelerating from zero to a hundred in less than two seconds - you can see how it does it in 1.9 seconds in the pictures. Thus, this beast promises to humiliate the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, the current holder of the production car speed record, with 2.3 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill. The Owl's electric thrusters, with all the torque available right from the start, and wind-cutting shapes make it possible for your goal to be more than just talk when it's finished.

What did we find underneath this beast's sharp carbon fiber body? Two 40 kW electric motors capable of producing 429 hp and 763 Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels, since it can be assumed that each of the motors will move different axles. I recognise that 429 hp is not an overwhelming figure, especially in a world with cars like the Bugatti Chiron and its 1,500 hp. However, here weight is key: the Japanese engineers in charge of the project have achieved a final weight of only 861 kg, yes, in an electric car!

The result is a huge, brutal, wild acceleration from zero to 100: less than two seconds secured, although some sources even speak of 1.6 seconds. A kick that can end with a sprained neck, how could they have achieved such a low weight in an electric car? Well, without everything that is unnecessary and with a commitment to lighter materials, such as magnesium for the rims or carbon fibre for the entire body, and to batteries that I certainly don't think will allow for great autonomy, but who cares about autonomy when we talk about a record like this?

Aerodynamics is also key in its development, with a very sharp design and the absence of discordant elements such as mirrors, probably replaced by small cameras. The huge rear spoiler and the different openings along the bodywork generate enough downforce to keep this beast close to the ground.
