As mentioned in our previous blog, CanYa recognises the relevance of the crypto community in South Korea, and is committed to building lasting relationships with local projects and community leaders.
To celebrate the recent launch of our Korean Telegram and KakaoTalk (CanYa's Digital Korean Community) online communities, as well as our website in Korean, we've successfully run an Airdrop campaign, and one lucky community member was awarded with 1,000 $CAN.

Catalyze Meetup
We were able to present directly to a local Korean audience of 300 people, plus conducted a successful Facebook livestream. The team presented on the CanYa Roadmap, upcoming milestones, and the CanYa Alpha web-app for freelancers. A demo video of the CanYa Alpha platform is available via our Telegram Announcements Channel.
We had an incredible response, with conversations, new connections and people joining our Korean Telegram and Discord!

Deconomy Conference 2018
Deconomy was an incredible event, featuring panels and keynotes from leaders shaping the global economy. CanYa participated on the international stage with leading researchers, project founders, ICO projects, exchanges, and major funds.
In addition, would also played witness to a much anticipated debate between Samson Mao and Roger Ver on Bitcoin versus Bitcoin Cash, which topped the Reddit channels when Vitalik Buterin called out Craig Wright as a fraud during Q&A...see link here.
Next Steps for CanYa in Korea
We are incredibly excited to be building a strong Korean community.
Our aim is to build organically, with quality, localised content in our channels.
Our activities in Korea are bolstered by a robust agenda to develop relationships with a number of leading Korean exchanges and list with the right partner when the timing is right, given recent sensitivities with market regulation.
