VEG ROOM UPDATE #17
Hi steemians! So its been awhile since I’ve done an update for the veg room and those that know a 24 hour light cycle makes things go a lot quicker!
As you can see!
My SAnta Rita og i started from seeds have showed there sex and outta 3 i got two females! I transplanted SAnta Rita C into a 3 gallon pot. This is the one that smells like a pine tree! I took 5 clones before the transfer and she’ll be flipped into flower in about a week, I’m very excited about this one. It’s crazy that this plant is about 40 days old!
Here’s a Kandy kush, i also transplanted into a 3 gallon pot and she’ll be thrown into flower in about a week. I just got to finish the SAnta Rita #1 that are in flower. I wanted to throw 2 Kandy kush into flower but just don’t got the room. I took 6 clones from this one.
That’s the other Kandy kush i wanted to flip . I’m putting her outside and doing my first ever LST. Hopefully she don’t get stolen, but it’s for fun so no biggie if she does.
Here’s what the roots looked like ! Those small round pots are so great!
Here’s a nice looking tahoo og x og that will be transplanted in about a week. She’ll be my last plant outta the bunch I’ve been talking about the last 30 days. I got some spider cookies that will be taking up the room this next round, also got some fresh cuttings that will be coming up to keep the perpetual grow going and me smoking! Lol
So stay tuned and watch me do it all over again but with new strains! The spider cookies is such a cool plant, i can’t wait to show you all!!

There seeds me and my old roommate @hotsauceislethal made by crossing my Tahoo og xog female with a male inca gold Bagseed. I dubbed it SAnta Rita og because that’s the neighborhood i live in, haha it’s just the weednerd shit i find fascinating 👍
Thats even better, you breed your own strains and its a pretty cool name for a strain ha, have you tried making femenized seeds?
Nah. You use some type of spray for that right?
One way I read of was quite long winded, but made sense.. it was to take 5 or so females and line them up in pots, put them into flower mode and the one with the most female signs of sex ( that being the amount of bud sites and sizes of the forming flowers ) you put aside and this will be the one that you use. The there the magic acid! Not LSD, Its some kind of acid, not sure what though. Anyway this makes a female plant think its a suddenly a male plant, and then you breed it with another female, and all the seeds will be females. Fuck to be honest I have proberbly got it muddled up , it was years ago that I read it! I try jog my memory if it needs editing lol
ah maybe you mean colordial silver? i think that just a myth :) but.. I never tried it just from what people have told me when ive asked about it.
Yeah i doubt i ever try to do that. Maybe one day when i have more room i will. I got a santa rita male plant right now and my next strain i make is going to be called steemit og, or steem og, not entirely sure yet, but defiantly a homage to steemit! I love this site so much!!! lol

What size pots were they in there with them roots? I want to try (and thanks for reminding me) painting the inside of a pot with copper paint. Apparently when the root grows to find the edge of the pot, normally it will keep growing longer and thin following the edge of the pot. If it hits the copper paint, then it stumps its growth and get fatter. The idea is that the thicker the roots , the more nutes its takes up. I must try this, this year
Yeah painted it copper makes it work like a smart pot, but with less airflow obviously. The small pots are a little smaller then 1 gallon!! There so perfect to veg out in my small room! I used to have 1.5 gallon pots, and had a round one laying around, and had a plant that i was going to give away in it, so i didn't focus on transplanting and it kept getting bigger and bigger with no signs of root bound!! So i went to the store and stocked up on the small round ones.
