GROWING PAINS #2

Hi stemians! Hope everybody is having a great Monday, and are not losing their asses in the market. So for today’s post I thought i would talk about a common issue that almost every grower comes across, POWDERY MILDEW!

Powder mildew shows up as little white spots that to me kinda looks like sombody with chalk on their hands touched a leaf with their finger tip..

This stuff really sucks. This is why it’s very important to take the steps before you set up a grow to get proper ventilation. White mildew forms when humidity reaches above 50% and in poor air circulation. Unfortunately in my apt air flow sucks! Also my grow is very small and i can’t get a good dehumidifier to suck the moisture out of the air. I do have a small fan running at all times but it can’t blow air every inch in the room. I recommend a great oscillating fan for sombody that has a bigger setup. Also one of the cheapest and best investment a grower can get is one of these.....

So what can one grower do to combat this nasty as white stuff?? Fortunately there are many great products on the market that combats this stuff.

This is a fish oil spray and works great! Also you can find this stuff in the garden asile of any big retail store. The down sound is it smells fishy, and gets into stems and it’s hard to tell if your finished product is dry since the stems don’t snap.

I started to use a great spray i found because one of Subcools guys on instagram gave me the recommendation to use Mites and Mildew washout..

Don’t panic!!

So remember if your going to take the step and start a grow just know you will most likely come across the white mildew. So take the steps and get yourself a good spray. You can take my two recommendations or just ask your local garden shop what they use.
