Eiffel Tower Chair • BW Photo Contest • Minimalism
I photographed a vintage Eames Fiberglass Shell chair on an Eiffel Tower base yesterday. The wire base, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s and manufactured by Herman Miller furniture company, casts a long and interesting shadow across the wood foor. The base's tower like structure earned it the nickname Eiffel Tower chair. The furniture was originally designed for institutional use such as universities and airports and had a very modern and minimalist feeling. Today the original pieces are highly collectible and many furniture companies are creating lookalike copies.
This is my 1st entry for bwphotocontest - minimalism. Thank you @daveks for creating the contest and @prakashghai for judging.
