b&w photography - entry 2 for #bwphotocontest - theme trees

Imagination is a curious faculty of the human mind. Walking through nature I sometimes see shapes and forms in the distance that in my mind's eye transform into fantastic beings. Such was the case with this remnant of a tree also. Even up close in this photograph it's easy to see the head of a prehistoric beast in a stronghold by some amorphous blob. Or is that just my weird fantasy? :)
