B&W Photocontest: Nature - Lake Ambulalacao

Hello Steemit friends! How are you? Me? Still busy as ever. But I've been itching to come back all this time. Hope you'll still welcome me. Right. So anyway, I got piqued by the current theme of BW Photo Contest this week, still hosted by @daveks of course. Nothing can stop me from joining this one! Haha.

My first entry is this humble photo of a lake.. it is located in Kabayan, Benguet, just on the other side of Mt. Tabayoc. Even in B&W, you can tell by the nature of the light's reflection that its water is super clear! And I'm not being subjective either, Lake Ambulalacao is currently ranked within the top 3 of bodies freshwater in the whole Philippines. For a country with 421 river basins and hundreds of lakes, that's really something. It even held the number 1 spot for a time. Visiting the lake requires one to trek uphill for around 20 minutes, and one would not normally be allowed to descend within its shores. But luckily, as researchers/students in the field of Environmental Science, we were allowed to get to its shores. But we were so careful not to touch its waters. Now that's what you call responsible tourism, as it should be. Enjoy this photo every one! :D
