Hard Fork 20, @steemmonsters, and @dlikesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #busy6 years ago

There was a furry of news that came out which I think is of interest to everyone. So we will delve right in.

The @steemitblog team put out a bit more detail about the sign up process after Hard Fork 20. It is a bit technical in nature yet does provide some clarity. Applications will be able to sign up people, removing Steemit from the process. This is done by using Resource Credits (RC) which come from having SP. This can either be owned by an account or delegated to it.

An application will have a couple choices. They can either pay full price (which is set by the witnesses) or purchase discounted accounts. This will allow for them to sign up users at a quicker pace if they are able to get the discounted ones.

Like voting power, RCs used will replenish every 24 hours. As an application grows, it obviously can sign on users at a faster pace.

There are some other details in the post which you can read if you haven't done so.

The second major announcement is for those who are involved in @steemmonsters. The team behind that project announced that the site was updated. They also stated they sold 10K booster packs just this week. It does appear this is a game that is going to get a lot of action.

Part of the site update was the addition of stats. This is huge for those looking at the individual cards. This will give people a chance to see what level the card is at and what abilities come with leveling up.

Finally, fighting is coming soon. There is some taking place on the back end while the front end is being tested.

According to the post, this is only weeks away.

@dlike is dropping 5M dlike tokens on Steemians. This is part of their bounty to encourage spreading the word about this site.

For those who are unfamiliar, you can head to dlike.io.

This is a site that is a blend between Reddit with link posting and Pinterest with posting pics and other things of interest. Here is an example of a site on the STEEM blockchain that rewards people for sharing what they like.

This is what tokens will be paid out:

  • Write about dlike on your steemit blog and get 500 to 5000 dlike tokens. To be eligible for these tokens your posts must be a promotional article about dlike including dlike in title of your post. You must give dlike web address and dlike discord channel link (you can add your own invitation link) in your post and write about SP delegation to dlike.
  • 500 to 5000 dlike tokens for making a promotional video on Dtube
  • 500 to 5000 dlike tokens for promotion on Dlive
  • Take a selfie with dlike logo and dlike web address (dlike.io) and upload on your blog using hashtag #wearedlike to earn 300 to 500 tokens
  • Invite new users on discord channel and earn 20 dlike tokens for every invitation
  • Follow dlike on steem to get 10 dlike tokens
  • Make daily one post on dlike.io in each of these 4 communities (photography, food, sports, memes) for next 15 days and earn 2500 dlike tokens
  • Delegate your spare SP to dlike and instantly get twice the number of tokens (e.g if you delegate 100 SP you will instantly get 200 dlike tokens). You will also get weekly token reward for your SP as this is bonus offer for delegating.

Bounty programs are a great way to earn tokens and, as we all know, tokens using the SMT protocol (when released) are all paired with STEEM. I think the fact they are offering 800M tokens total is very attractive as an application. It is a good idea to be an early adopter to amass some. Like most of these projects, if they take off, it will be harder to get tokens down the road.

Like @actifit, @dlike is offering a 1:1 for each SP delegated along with 5% beneficiary rewards. The beneficiary can add up to a fair bit of STEEM if their posts get a lot of upvotes.

You can check out the discord channel here

One of the things I noticed about this project is that the development team is making a fair number of updates. As you all know, I love the applications that are consistently added to. There is nothing worse than an application that comes online and nothing changes for months. To me, that stands little chance of success. This team appears to have their road map planned out and are following it.

Their next step is to bring out an Android application.

Lots of good things happening on the STEEM blockchain. We are just getting started.

The SteemMonsters project looks so awesome!

I'm impressed with the visual improvements they've made as well. Their original logo was bland but now it's crackalackin'

Makes me think they might secretly have @overkillcoin on the art team!

Nope, haven't participated at all. That's why their design work looks so great! XD

I think eventually they should make a card called “Overkill (insert aquatic critter here)”

Oh hell ye! Let´s prepare some crazy deck combinations to fight, the sooner the better, but what matters is the quality that fighting will have... A lot of speculation...

In relation to @dlike, just like @actifit, you were the responsible for introducing me to those projects and now I´m divided on what should I do with my SP, because I don´t have much to delegate to both of the projects.

Too many choices is a great problem to have... do you enjoy exercising or do you enjoy sharing links more? Which platform would you get the most enjoyment out of?

Yep, better have choices than having problems to solve without them...
The thing is that I think @dlike will explode faster than @actifit, just because of laziness. People tend to be lazy first and then start consider exercising... if you know what I mean!

Thanks for the information resteeming!

You're the go-to source for consistent Steem updates, thanks for your efforts in gathering up news that some of us would otherwise overlook.

Just one thing though...

There was a furry of news that ...

fLurry! :D

Resteemed!

I've never heard of dlike before thanks for the heads up!

I'll be interested to see how steemmonsters develops even though I've decided to sell my cards... I've got no real interest in fantasy card games TBH!
