Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico. A member of the Asteraceae dicotyledonous plants.They are one of the most beautiful flowering plant as we have.The Dahlias grow naturally in climates which do not experience frost.Which makes it quite easy to take care.

One of the fact that it is to be known is that the dahlia was declared the national flower of Mexico in 1963.Dahlias are annual blooming plants, with mostly tuberous roots.It increases the beauty of the garden as to be seen .

While the fact is kinda said that The naming of the plant itself has long been a subject of some confusion. Many sources do state that the name "Dahlia" was bestowed by the Swedish botanist and taxonomist Carl Linnaeus to honor his late student Anders Dahl.
