Enjoying Some Delicious "Atari-ya" Sushi at Home
Japanese Sushi is one of my favourite foods, not only being a healthy option but also tasting so yummy and flavourful! But eating Sushi outside in the restaurants especially in Central London could end up quite pricey.
So @ezzy and I normally go to a shop in West Acton called "Atari-ya" where they have a fresh fish counter especially catering for sashimi and sushi dishes. So we normally get the sashimi home and make the sushi ourselves. It turns out to be much cheaper and you can also fun at home during the making process.
Tonight we did exactly that, lol! See the delicious end results and I wish you all a lovely weekend!

Looking at the sushi photo at midnight now not a good idea because it looks so delicious! It is sooooo orange
That looks fantastic.
I'd love to see a post on how you eat your sushi.
i.e.
Do you dip your sushi in soy sauce?
Do you allow the rice to touch the soy sauce?
Do you add wasabi to the soy sauce or tuck it under the fish?
I always say, eat it however it tastes best for you. But I've been out many times with folks who believe that there is some form of sushi etiquette that must be followed.
Hello @gikitiki, you were quite right. There are indeed certain rules in regards to a traditional Japanese dining, like picking up the nigiri sushi and dip the fish into the sauce, not the rice; don't put wasabi directly in the sauce but placing it under the fish ... I am a bit like you, eating sushi in whatever way I feel most comfortable, haha!
