Newspaper - Tabloid

Its been a while since I've touch a tabloid and don't even remember when was the last time I've read one.
With all the information readily available in the internet, its rare that you'll still see someone reading tabloid these days. The scent of it paper is still something I really like.The aroma that emanates from its paper is caused by a number of chemical reactions from its ink – not just the sweet smell of great prose!

I used to read tabloid back in the days where internet can only access in the school or computershop. With the wireless connection everywhere, its so easy to connect to the world. This morning I got a chance to read tabloid again and feels good about how it maintain its uniqueness through the years. "Pilipino Star Ngayon" or Philippine Star Today" in English is a local tabloid that has 16 pages of news written and published in Filipino, the national language of the Philippines. The tabloid newspaper is owned and operated by PhilStar Daily, Inc., under its subsidiary, Pilipino Star NGAYON, Inc. It's frontpage shows the Headlines for the day and some very interesting news. Page 2 talks about the current events and news about the nation. Today's news focuses on implementing laws and mostly about government. Page 3 is about the news around the metro or the main city Metro Manila, street crimes, traffic woes, car accidents and many more... Page 4 and 5 are Editorials and for people's opinion. This is where commentators and analyst discusses current events and opinions about the government. Page 6 and 7 are for provincial news. Events accross different places outside the metro, here also talks about the different information from crimes, accidents and many more...

Middle page (8 and 9) is about entertainment or showbiz, mostly local celebrities, chismis and gossip news. It continues until page 10 and 11.

Page 12 is all about games, here you'll see crosswords puzzle, quotes and quiz puzzle, comics and Dr.Love stories (people asking for advise from Dr.Love about the heartaches). Page 13 is for Birthday Greetings and best wishes, you will also find the daily horoscope and Career In where it discusses different topics, today's topic is all about Office Bullying.

Page 14 is about Classified Ads, mostly for people looking for a job. It shows a lot of job openings accross the country and even abroad. It also includes biddings and even lost person. Page 15 and 16 is my favoritr pages as it talks about sports, I just love sports from basketball, boxing, billiards and more. Usually this is the first page that I read before browsing other pages. I've love to read all what is happening around sports and of course my favorite is basketball section whether local or abroad. I'm an avid follower of Gilas Pilipinas.

It's nice to read tabloids at least once in a while because this brings you back to the basic of news where they used to dominate the world of information before Internet took over.
