On the occasion of Pahela Baishakh, a colorful 'Baishakhi karuti festival' was held on the banks of the river Yamuna near Aricha Ghat of Manikganj.
On Saturday afternoon, 'Salt Dalal' social and cultural organizations organized this kite festival.
Chaired by Shibalaya Upazila Chairman Mohammad Ali Akbar, MP Manikganj-1 MP AM Naimur Rahman Durjoy was the chief guest and President of Manikganj District Awami League and District Council Chairman Advocate Golam Mohiuddin attended the inauguration of the Kadhi festival.

In front of the kite festival, on the banks of the Jamuna, on the outskirts of Kirti, thousands of people including men and women, the Milan Mela. This is a different celebration of the Bengali festival. Hundreds of different types of kites are seen flying in the sky in this kite festival. It is worth mentioning in these kites - boat kites, I have competed in different types of kites, including Sophiaan kites, Pigeon kites, Airplane kites, Koiira, Chila, Patenga, Flowers, People kites, Peacock. Before the festivities began, there were 223 kites registered in 16 categories.
In each category, there are a variety of prizes, including first, second and third, three diverse and spectacular 48 kites for color television.

Prizes are distributed amongst the karvis coming from different areas of the district. Among others, District Awami League leader Taabur Rahman Tipu, Shibalaya Upazila Awami League General Secretary and District Council Panel Chairman Abdul Kuddus, Women Vice Chairman Tahmina Akhter Lata, District Council Member Nazma Akhter, Convenor of Upazila Juba League Miraj Hossain Lalon, Upazila BCL president Selim Reza, general secretary Dulal Hossain and Shibalaya Samaritik Kalyan Samity general secretary. Khandaker Belayet Hossain also said.

Various types of food shops including khus stalls, chapatis for festive jokes, fuchsia etc.
Thousands of people came from different areas of seven upazilas of the district to celebrate the kite festival. From the noon on Saturday, the people's dharma in the name of the river Jamuna of Aricha Ghat.
It is to be noted that Shibalaya Century Social and Cultural Organization
organized every year in the hall of the Shivalaya three-member Model Parishad Hall in the hall. Besides, for the last eight years, organized kite festivals and fairs at the river Jamuna of Aricha Ghat.
