Beer Review
The Lytch is an 8.5% Imperial/Double IPA brewed by the Relic Brewing Company in Plainville, Connecticut. Relic Brewing Company is a small batch, craft brewer that focuses mostly on IPA style beers, but over the winter I tried a few of their dark stouts and porters and they are also delicious. The Lytch is a DIPA brewed with Galaxy and Mosaic Hops and added Lactose for a tropical, fruity beer.

The Can
The Lytch is served in a 12 ounce can. At 8.5% alcohol/volume, you don't want it much bigger than that! The label features a mummified creature in yellow with crows perched all over it's crown. The word Lich is an archaic word for corpse. It is written in big red font at the bottom of the can.
The Beer
The Lytch is a glowing, hazy yellow when poured into a glass. It had a thin foam-line, but you can tell that the beer is thick and creamy from the Lactose. It reeked of tropical aromas. At first sip you can get a blast of pineapple flavor with sweet mango notes. It does a good job at masking the high alcohol content within and goes down easy. It's truly a great, juicy DIPA. I look forward to trying more beers from Relic Brewing Company in the future!

Looks interesting
First time that I'm drinking it. Bought it because of the art haha. Pretty refreshing brew!
Is it as spicy as the label suggests?!
Not at all, quite fruity and refreshing
I just can't do IPA's, let alone double IPA's. The can is pretty awesome though! There is a beer in MI called HopSlam that they only make once a year for a limited time. It always sells out and it is very expensive. I bought a single can of it once for like $12 and I just couldn't do it.
Forget the 5%. Keep it about 7% :)
