The right time - Chapter 2
It was the most idyllic time of their lives and John walked on clouds half of the time. He loved every second he spent with her in Paris, and she wished that they could stay there forever.
He had to get back to his job, and he promised her that they would return soon. She reluctantly went back with him, and it was awkward being back in the states after their month of bliss in Paris, but life had to get back to normal.
He couldn’t just quit his job and move to Paris and Julia had more than enough jobs lined up. They went on with their normal lives but at night-time their passion for each other grew strong again and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
He was dumbstruck when she announced out of the blue that she was pregnant, but she did not plan to keep the baby. She couldn’t be anyone’s mother. She was still too young, and she had too much to do before finally settling down and devoting herself to motherhood.
He begged her and tried to convince her otherwise, but she didn’t want to listen. It was their first real big fight. She locked herself in their bedroom for two days, but he couldn’t change her mind. John went with her when she had the abortion and they both cried when it was over. She promised him that they would have another chance and he believed her.
He kept his promise and took her back to Paris for a week. Julia was back to her old self, and their passion was rekindled during that week. This time it was a bit easier to go back home. Julia was working again so, she was busy all the time.
When a company from Paris phoned her and offered her the opportunity of her lifetime. There was no way that she could not accept it. They fought about it for weeks, but he couldn’t get out of his commitments. He had important cases going on and at the end Julia left without him.
It was only for three months, but it was the most miserable three months of his life. He worked day and night to get as much done as possible and when Julia had a two week break in between shootings, he went to Paris to surprise her.
She was overwhelmed to see him, and they spent those two weeks clinging to each other as if it would be their last. When Julia arrived back in the states, John hoped that everything would go back to normal, but something felt different.
Julia was miserable. She was not herself and was irritated all the time. She was agitated and after a month he forced her to go to the doctor.
Julia was pregnant. Only four months after the abortion, and it was not something she planned. John was overjoyed at their second chance, but Julia was not.
She immediately wanted to have another abortion, but this time he put his foot down. In the end he convinced her to keep the baby but promised that she could go back to work after the birth.
