Celebrating HardFork 21 Day on STEEM

August 27 is the day of this momentous fork event which is 4 hours off as I write this post. I find this information from the wonderful and ever helpful @coingecko who have a countdown clock on their site:

How are you planning to celebrate this change to STEEM? A good idea is to read posts from the people who have opinions and clout. If you pay attention to steemitblog, they have mentioned that a $20 post payout is our new bar to know if a post is worthy. All of these posts below exceeded that mark:
@drakos gets about $90 for showing a bunch of math. This post also explains how the witnesses can revert to the old version if things take a dire turn:

@justineh is getting $68 for "normietalk" directed at the common steemer idiot below the top dogs. There are a lot of details in the post I have not seen elsewhere, so take a look. @justineh is positive and optimistic and urges patience even though, "we don't know what the results will be."

@minnowbooster is getting $47 to explain curation rewards and make a pitch for you to stop delegating to bots and now start selling your votes instead.

@thecryptodrive's post has $80 for a lot of background info, thoughts on delegation, and this wonderful idea that this fork will end "up being a soft fork, metaphorically speaking, because it will likely soften hard hearts and change the ethos of the community to one of togetherness and inter-reliance."

I have been posting daily holidays recently and today, August 27, is actually "Just Because Day." So this is the reason for my post. I am thinking of the fork just because I have no choice but to be a part of it.
I will celebrate by
- moving my auto-voting times to 5 minutes
- continuing to follow the couple small trails I already do.
- continuing to curate down to about 80% each day with the rest of my votes
- continuing to post 2-3 posts a day using dApps I like.
- Powering up some STEEM for SPUD5 on Sept 1 and all the following SPUD's

Hi, the so-called pivot-point as mentioned (very late in the day) by steemitblog is 20 STEEM, not $20 - big difference.
It was also wrong to say that those posts above 20 STEEM will earn more than now, although true that those below will see payouts diminish the smaller their pending rewards.

This is like honest reviews meets curation. Great info... Well one or two of them but a comprehensive view of the general landscape although I am not going to read any of it... Yet. I really like the descriptions.

Where did they write about it? I couldn't find this info.
I wonder how will this fork impact users behaviours. So far it seem that most people will be upvoting content which is already popular.
When I upvoted post with 0$ then my upvote was worth only 1,04SP and it used to be 1,7SP before the fork. However when I upvoted the highest post in trending page (100$) then my upvote increased reward by over 2 SP. So pretty much it doubled in strength.
So somehow pushing your content to trending page will bring some solid traffic.

In fact, people with open payouts under $20 saw the post payouts drop 20-35% the day after the fork. Those above $20 increased - the bigger the payout, the bigger the increase.

**All been said and done, the problem steem price experiences it from big investors. the minnow have little not not an effect on the blockchain talking of amount of Steem and SBD they accumulate as liquid steem. **
Honestly, this is a good curation (the original meaning) of read-worthy posts that any Steemian who wants to know more about Steem Hard Fork 21 should read!

Also, I think 7 days need to go by after the 22nd fork to really know what we have. You site is so helpful to me always. I am so glad you are steeming :)
