VENEZUELA BEAUTIFUL HOMELAND

Another aspect to highlight is about the name of the country, there are 2 versions in the origin of the term Venezuela, the first version states that when the Conquistadores arrived and saw the stilt houses (they are built houses that are above the water level) they compared them with Venice and that's why they called her little Venice. The second version explains that Venezuela is an indigenous term which means in the indigenous language Agua Grande this in representation of Lake Maracaibo, however in the history books they have adopted the version of the Europeans.
