The Largest Cleanup in History!
The Ocean Cleanup can definitely be entitled as an amazing Business due to its huge vision to rid the world´s oceans of plastic. In case their idea succeeds and the necessary funds are available to them, then we might see a reduction of plastic in our oceans of more than 50% within the first 5 years.
It might as well be our last chance to start cleaning up the oceans, just before all the big plastic parts break down into dangerous microplastics, which we won´t be able to filter out of the water easily. Missing the chance we still have might lead to serious damage to life in the oceans and respectivly life on earth...
Basically the system they developed is quite easy as it uses the oceans currents in order to catch all the floating plastic within a Drifting Array. That being said there is almost no energy necessary despite some ships and the respective collection systems to get the plastic back on solid ground.
Right now The Ocean Cleanup got a Prototype running in the North Sea and is working on the final start of the Ocean Cleanup, which might already start next year just after the final tests ans Preparations are completed. Until then everyone of us could support the Initiative with a small donation right here.

Yes, that project is just awesome and might really be the start of a huge change. It´s sad that it has to struggle for money as it should be in our all interest to clean the oceans asap. All the microplastic will get back to us through seafood otherwise...
thankyou @steembusiness I hope we do get to put our act together and start to clean up the environment, creating awareness certainly helps! I read an article where a whale had died due to the contents in the stomach, bags and plastics which couldn't digest had caused a terrible infection to build resulting in a sad fatality....so sad. Will follow your work :)
It´s horrible to hear about all that Pollution and still see people throwing their waste into the nature without even caring about the consequences. IMO there should be huge fines for such actions as we just got one world and we should keep it clean.
