In my other story I talked about why you should stop working for other people. One of the types of alternative business you can work on is Internet Marketing.

Now, don't get yourself confused that this is marketing internet service. It has NOTHING to do with that.
Internet Marketing means that you sell / market stuffs (merchandise, service, product, information, etc) on the internet.

Here are FOUR indisputable reasons that you should start exploring internet marketing now:

Reason #1: You DO NOT need to have your own product

Instant Product Sources

You must be thinking "What am I going to sell? I don't have anything!". The good news is, you don't have to have your own product!
There are tonnes of available products out there that are looking for people to market for them. Aside from that, it is VERY EASY to create your own product.

• PLR (Private Label Rights)
  • Google for "PLR" sources, they come cheap($5-$30)
  • Use different sources to create your own information product
  • Don’t use one source and re-sell, competition is high
  • Create unique product by leveraging on products that other people has already created
    • Buy multiple sources, compile useful contents, pay someone $5 to create a cover, and claim authorship
  • Information is the market - remember Maslow Hierarchy of Needs – many countries have achieved all the lower level needs and it’s time for INFORMATION

Affiliate Marketing

• Sell other people’s product by linking to it
• Ideally look for high price, high margin(cheap product or low margin won’t get you a lot of commission!)
• Where to find? Google, ClickBank.com, etc
• ClickBank has a lot of digital products, which is easy to sell and deliver
• Amazon has a lot of physical product, their affiliate program pays you even when you do your own shopping!
• Don’t sell physical books! Go figure!

Reason #2: You DO NOT need to be technical

Website creation

• Register domain name (GoDaddy) –$10/year
• Hosting (HostGator, BlueHost) – $7/mth
• One-click install WordPress (the most widely used website creation template) from HostGator
• Install Wordpress theme (WooThemes) - $25 - $45
• WordPress.org to look for plug-ins
• Content & customer graphic (Fiverr.com) - $5

Reason #3: Facebook

• 7 billion global population, 2.5 billion has internet, 1.8 billion of those from outside China, and Facebook has 1.39 billion users
• First-mover advantage as per-click-price for Facebook is still very cheap (5-10cents per click). Later on it will become more expensive

Reason #4: You are NOT limited to your geographical location

• Local market is buying online
• Affiliate program has been made available worldwide
• Asia and Australia are typically 5-7 years behind N. America in e-Commerce and we can copy successful model
• US is still the biggest consumer market worldwide, and they are now willing to buy from anywhere around the world
