What is Multi Level Marketing

Multilevel Marketing also known as mlm as indicated by its name consists of multi levels. Each level consists of a sponsor and the level below him or her is a team. The income you receive is a commission based scheme on your personal sales and on the sales your team gets you. Now remember most people don’t consider mlm a real business and thus they say that there is a high ‘failure’ rate in mlm. Keep in mind, this is a myth and mlm is a real and a tough business. Success or failure always depends on the work you put in. Mlm is more of a ‘hardwork and not get rich quick’ scheme like every other business.

Your level of success in mlm depends on the level of work you put in. The only reason people think that mlm’s have a high failure rate is because they give up too quickly (believe me I’m on the verge of that too, but then my ‘WHY’ kicks in and I start with a new drive) and its easy to give up on an investment of 50 dollars rather than 5000 dollars. People only see the failure or success and not the amount of hardwork you’ve put in. For example if I am a successful mlm business owner and I go somewhere in my new car or with a new watch or something, people will say ‘wish we were like him’ but what they don’t understand is the level of hardwork I or any successful person has put in and thus when they try they fail and feel frustrated (which is what I’m going through right now and I will get there eventually). I know people who got their first sales in three minutes and I know people who got there first sale in two years. Keep working hard and you never know when or where the sale is coming from, but you’ll get it. Consistency is key.

I just joined my first first mlm business and its been almost three weeks and I’ve shown the product to atleast 40+ people
and guess what? None of them bought it.

Am I frustrated? Yes
Am I giving up? No
Am I gonna keep doing it? Yes

Did I learn anything from the rejections? Yes, I learnt a very important principle of life, nobody looks at life the way you look like. I mean, from my perspective everybody should monitor their health and keep a check on their loved ones? No? Shouldn’t they? Yeah, they should but not everyone wants a health sensor around them and not everyone feels its important to buy them hence the rejections. I’ve also learnt that not all people want to help you. I mean, I’ve tried to sell to some people, and there were two kinds of people I interacted with

1. People who said No, but you can try this this this to get your first sale.
2. People who said “No, don’t ever contact me again.”

Hits right in the feels, right? But you’ve got to keep going and be consistent, entrepreneurship is hard but hardwork always bears fruits.
