Firstly, I'll love to thank @jerrybanfied for bringing up this idea and for making out time to read the first version of this plan and giving me a second chance.

This write up is in response to @jerrybanfield's post on "Budget Proposals"

What is #SteemWarAgainstPoverty?

The steem blockchain has been more like a saviour to me. Through steemit, I opted out from committing suicide. I resisted that dreaded idea conceived out of depression, frustration and lack of funds. Steemit gave me a second chance to live and I've seen a need to extend this experience to many others.

Poverty to me is the worst thing you could ever wish anyone even your enemy. I've seen several poor persons face extreme difficulties that ardevice nable.

#SteemWarAgainstPoverty is then a project or campaign to pioneer the possible eradication of poverty through steemit.

Vision

To see a world where people are financially free, living above the one dollar per day mark and having the necessary funds to carter for their basic needs.

Mission

To build a strong army of honest and broad hearted steemians on the steem blockchain who will not only fight poverty but as well popularize steemit.

How Could #SteemWarAgainstPoverty enhance the steem blockchain?

Reward contributions and activies bent on eradicating poverty globally

Further popularize steem and steemit

Reach out to the less privilege with food, finance, mobile devices, etc to enable them gain financial freedom through blogging on steemit

Who are Steem Soldiers?

These are steemians with a broad heart and the passion for affecting lives through steemit.

What is Steem Army?

This is a collective term for all Steem Soldiers.

Mode of Operation

To visit hospitals and clinics where the bills of several poor patients could be cleared.

To hold street viral campaigns for steemit with posters, flyers and banners.

To offer financial assistance to the needy on the streets while holding those street campaigns.

To hold financial breakthrough conferences and meet ups where the principles of financial management could be shared as well as the secrets of being a successful steemian.

Disburse Weekly payment to faithful and dedicated Steem Soldiers

Budget

6000 - 6600 USD which is equivalent to 1200 - 1400 Steem at the current market price.

How will this money be used

80% of the funds i.e 960 - 1120 steem will be used for the weekly payment of steem soldiers who are dedicated to waging a #SteemWarAgainstPoverty

10% of the funds I.e 120 - 140 steem will be used to offer financial assistance to the needy and as well as mobile devidevices ces

10% of the funds I.e 120 - 140 steem used for steemit meet ups, conferences and Facebook, Twitter and Google Ads.

How To Be A steem Soldier

Nominations will be made. Steem Soldiers could only be screened and recruited through nominations.

Who can Nominate a Steemian to be a Soldier Soldier?

Nominations will be made by steemians with 25-36 reputation

Nominators are to nominate only the steemians who was behind their joining steemit.

How Will Nominations Be Made?

Nomination polls will be opened on 12:00 GMT Mon - Fri 12:00 GMT via a post on @onyemacourage's blog

Nominators shall drop their nominations as comments under the weekly nomination polls post.

For Example: "I nominate @onyemacourage to be a steem soldier. Here is my Introductory post >>URL<<

Nominated persons will be screened and a list of recruited Steem Soldiers published on Sundays.

Qualifications to be Nominated

Must be a steemian with over 30 posts.

Must be a steemian with 40+ reputation

Must be a steemian who has introduced at least one newbie to steemit.

Duties of Steem Soldier

To hold street campaigns in their communities spreading the good news of steemit and sharing hand bills to passer-bys at least twice a month

Get at least 2 persons registered on steemit in a week

Promote steemit on other social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc.

Empower the less privileged, giving them necessary items to help them join steemit.

Report their #SteemWarAgainstPoverty activities every Saturday

How Will Steem Soldiers Be Rewarded

Steem soldier will receive their weekly payouts on Sunday.

Every Steem Soldier shall recieve a minimum weekly pay of 3Steem and a maximum of 50Steem depending on how REAL and CONVINCING their reports are.

Steem Soldiers could as well earn through author rewards from their reports if this #SteemWarAgainstPoverty campaign is recognized by whales.

If I could raise this fund for this project, it'll be an effective way of eradicating poverty through the steem block chain and further popularizing steemit and steem across the world.

This is more like a foundation aimed at alleviating poverty. This will trend the steem blockchain even amongst the list of persons.
