Recently in Nigeria, a ponzi scheme by name M.M.M swindled some careless investors. In the course of its operation in my country, M.M.M introduced the use of BITCOIN to its services. The name Bitcoin sounded strange to everyone as non seem to have heard that before. In their quest for quick wealth and fortune (really not their fault), they (MMM participants) all sheepishly followed the dictates including the use of the first digital currency as a means of trading even though very many of them knew (as at then) little or nothing about Bitcoin.

Risk has always been said to be part of our life's activities but left to me, I would have advised an MMM investor to take a reasonable risk. MMM finally collapses and went down with tons of thousand of investors' money. Sadly enough, my friend whom I had earlier warned about MMM lost about 950 USD .

HOW DID THE GOVERNMENT REACT TO ALL THESE?

It was really unfortunate that bitcoin was introduced into the wrong business concept at the time the coin was gaining business momentum and recognition in the country (MMM-PONZI was really a wrong business concept).

Recently in the Federal house of assembly, the matter was deliberated upon again. We saw senators who ignorantly likens the use of Bitcoin in Nigeria to the defunct MMM-i.e. That MMM is the same as Bitcoin. This is very sad as so many of these senators can not (at this 21st century) differentiate between WHAT IS CALLED MONEY and WHAT IS CALLED A PONZI BUSINESS .

For the few who knows that BITCOIN is a cryptocurrency and that it was linked with a PONZI scheme that swindled them (so unfortunate), developed personal hatred and closed minds to the opportunities they stand to gain from crypto and anything linked to the cryptocurrency. This is further made worse as the government finally decides that BITCOIN (which is the only crypto they ignorantly know) should never be traded on Nigerian soil.

WHAT REALLY WENT WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Truth be told. Nigerians play the I don't care role when new technologies are introduced to our world. When the smartest among us discovers this same carefree style, he/she swings into action and seek for ways to milk us of our hard earned monies with it. That exactly was what went wrong in the case described above.

This singular act of dubious smartness by some Nigerians who hided themselves under the cloak of MMM, has cost us all of the benefits we should be deriving from cryptocurrencies. When you tell a savvy/techie youth of the benefits of cryto, you hear words like:

...NA SCAM JOR

...HOW I GO WITHDRAW IMMEDIATELY I START?

This is why we (@bania, @dintellectual and @elixbaba) have put our little resources together to start out and achieve the above stated post topic.

Detailed Project Reports!

Against every odd that might come our way, we have decided to embark on this massive project in order to help Nigerian youths in areas mentioned below to break loose from the shackles of cryptocurrency ignorance, fear and general financial difficulties. Details about this project therefore are presented below in form of questions and answers.

WHERE EXACTLY ARE WE HOPING TO COVER?

We are currently resident in Nigeria with very sound knowledge about the youth behaviors in the south western part of the country. This steemit/Cryptocurrency gospel project WILL cover:

Ado-Ekiti

Lokoja, Kabba, Okene and Anyigba

Akure

Enugu

And subsequently, any other place we feel have never been reached by any other

WHAT EXACTLY DO WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE?

From the above introduction to this post, we hope to achieve the following:

Communities where youths are sensitized and enlightened about the harmlessness of cryptocurrencies

Presentation of our SMART MEDIA TOKEN (Steem) and its benefits

Presentation of our blogging platform---STEEMIT

In all, registration of more than 10,000 accounts into steemit having shown them our personal testimonies

HAVE WE STARTED?...PLUS COST SO FAR

Yes we have perfected plans toward starting the first event. All hands are on deck to make the first outing a huge success come 24th February, 2018 in Kabba bunu local government area of kogi state. This first Steemit event will have a minimum of 100 persons in attendance, going by the level of preparations currently on ground.

So far, we have made the expenses listed below:

Renting of St. Augustine's hall (2,000 capacity hall) for 5 hours: #15,000 (42 USD about 9.5 Steem--coinmarketcap value as at 2:08 AM Nigerian Time).

The use of the town crier who does that with the use of public address system affixed to his car. This is the most effective means of reaching the required audience in this part of the country. So far, he has agreed to take 10,000 (28 USD about 6.4 Steem).

Renting of projectors, speakers and microphones. The renter agreed to the sum of #20,000 (51 USD about 11.56 Steem)

TOTAL: #45,000 , $121 and 27.46 Steems

Yea...am contributing 30 Steems to the whole events.

AFTER THE FIRST EVENT AND SUBSEQUENT OTHERS WHICH WILL COME SHORTLY AFTER THE FIRST.

Soon after the first event as explained above, we have planned to mount three sign posts at three strtegic points in the town. The cost of this we are yet to ascertain as at the time of writing this post since we are still making inquiries about quality.

The preceding events will surely take place soon after the first will host massive crowds per attendance as we have also decided to include the Nigerian corps members to the list of youths to be reached.

Find below therefore some of the things we will be doing to ensure the subsequent events are more successful than the first:

Very aggressive Radio Advert in each of the subsequent locations. This advert will preform them of the dates we will be storming their places and also the locations

Sourcing for the best even centers or hotels for the event. This is to ensure that the right thoughts are created in the mind of the attendees (letting them see there is a lifestyle on Steemit).

Fliers for the events

Mounting three sign posts of Steemit in strategic locations in each of the cities mentioned above after the events as done in the first.

You have seen in this proposal a clear list of what we have done so far together and what we hope to do given an opportunity from you. This post is written as a Steem/SBD budget proposal with a request for 700 Steem or its equivalent in SBD to be sold directly to USD and credited to our project budget.
