Body Painting-MERMAID LADY
I LOVE #mermaids. I mean, who doesn't? They can be good or evil, sexy or scary, SO many fun fantasy books and films involve a magical, mystical mermaid or #siren. Either there to help you...or take you underwater and drown you! ;)
My fascination with mermaids has led to my desire to create body paintings and #costumes so my friends and I can morph into these creatures. I recently posted a DIY mermaid bra, so you can pretend to be a mermaid too! Find it Here.
Naturally, my love for body painting and mermaids had to collide, so I created this shimmering painting on my roommate:
This was my favorite picture of the whole day!
My roommate and I did this painting one day just for fun! I was practicing some new techniques and she just wanted to be a mermaid-again, who doesn't?
I kept the paint more subtle for her skin tone with this painting, using a lot of #silver and #gold.
The most difficult part of the painting was lining up the scale stencils on the chest and legs. This was around the time I first started using stencils for body painting.
Her face was my favorite part of this painting-look at all that bling!
What do you think? This was one of my earlier paintings. We did it just for fun and we definitely succeeded in having lots of fun!
